If you're not bringing back anyone then you have major holes in the secondary and corner/safety become arguably the biggest need. With that in mind the top offseason priroty is resigning our own, particulary in the secondary. After that is done and you're not creating immediate holes you can address de.

it has to get done. There is no reason to carry guys who have no future on this team.

Did you not see our last game in Philly? We can't win with that Sanchez guy, can't do it. Moore may have a future with the Cowboys but he will need to compete with another young prospect. Dak is not Superman and so he won't always be healthy. He needs a reliable back up.
Did I see Sanchez get thrown into a game with the second and third string players? Yes I did. That one game doesn't doesn't discredit his entire career. He's not a great QB, but he's a more than capable backup.

Start your own team and you can have him. He won't make the Cowboys 2017 53-man roster.

We need at least two DE's and one dominant DT. Pass rush should be our # 1 priority this offseason. We can survive with the corners and safeties we have but we can't absolutely make a dent deep into the playoffs with the Crawford brothers and Bad back Lawrence as our pass rushers. They're complimentary role players at a position we need impact players.

Ranking the Dallas Cowboys Five Biggest Team Needs

...#1 – Defensive End

It’s no secret the Cowboys need a dominate pass rusher. Whether it be via free agency, the draft or a trade, Dallas must absolutely, positively find themselves a “War Daddy” who can put pressure and bring down opposing quarterbacks from the right defensive end position.

#2 – Cornerback
Chances are the Cowboys will not bring back both Carr and Claiborne. That leaves veteran Orlando Scandrick and 2016 sixth round rookie Anthony Brown as their outside starters. I expect Dallas to try and keep Scandrick in the slot. Re-signing either Carr or Claiborne for at least one more season allows you to do that. Then I see the Cowboys making this position a major focus in the upcoming draft.

#3 – Wide Receiver
With both Terrance Williams and Brice Butler currently free agents, the Cowboys need to find a solid number two to pair opposite of All-Pro Dez Bryant. A speedy free agent like DeSean Jackson would be perfect. But Dallas is unlikely to make a big splash in free agency. Instead, look for the Cowboys to bring back the cheaper Butler and try to find a late round gem at the position via the draft...

1. 2 DL that would demand double team
2. CB1 that is not injury prone
3. RT
4. WR2
5. someone to keep time for Garrett
6. resign church or wilcox
