I just find it unbelievable how one guy can have so much effect on the team. When he's in, we look like one of the better defenses in the league. When he goes out, the defense goes in the dumpster and looks like a bottom 5 defense.

Sad thing is....Hitchens played well too. I don't understand how or why our defense is so reliant on Lee. Unfortunate for us that he can't stay healthy.

If they trot Jaylon out there and simply preach "next man up", I'll be convinced they're tanking for a top 10 draft pick.

If Jaylon starts it is no longer believable that ownership or the coaches want to win....correct.

Lee's an animal, and it's crazy-talk to say we need to move on from him. He plays hard, and puts a ton of torque on those soft tissues.

The mistake was in not backfilling his position with anybody who can actually play. Somebody like Zack Brown, who was available and signed an affordable one-year deal with the Commanders instead.

I hope that if T. Smith and Lee are even debatable that they sit against Philly. I just hope if Tyron sits that doesn't lead to any significant injuries to other players, namely Dak. The Eagles will be a tall order with Lee and T. Smith and very difficult without one or both. I'd rather hope they will both be back against San Diego, which is very winnable. We should be able to beat San Diego, Washington, NY, and hopefully be rolling and beat Oakland. Then Zeke comes back to an 9-5 record with 2 games left and we'd definitely be in contention for a wild card. I don't want to throw in the towel but I don't want to try and beat Philly at the expense of losing that next easier stretch of games due to no Lee and/or T. Smith.

Jerry wants to be validated for his risk taking in the draft. Heck, they love Jaylon so much, they even gave his brother a job. Funny thing is, right now he is the better Smith--which isn't saying too much.

The problem is that Jaylon ain't there yet....physically and mentally and the coaches new that. And knowing Lee's injury history, it perplexes me how the coaches don't seem to have a suitable backup play for these type of situations......oh wait....they did have a back up plan.......its called old man Justin Durant....s**tty job by this staff...smh!

Yep. You just can't be handcuffed by someone who is this unreliable. While he's talented, his act is now old.

The only time you're handcuffed is when you pretend your superstar isn't injury prone and you back him up with a guy who couldn't even play college football right now. If there was some (ANY!) depth at the LB position, this team would be fine. 10-13 games of All-Pro play from Lee would be awesome as annoying as his injuries are. It's the dropoff from him to Jaylon that makes it unbearable and prevents the team from even being competitive.

Durant is way better than smith at this point

If Tyron plays then we can at least hope for some miscues and win 35-34.99

I understand that. I know there is an issue that starts at the top but Lee needs to be replaced. He has missed roughly 1/3 of his career games.

He's the best linebacker in the NFL when healthy, and he's been healthy most of the past three years.

You don't move on from that.

The problem is the complete lack of depth at the linebacker position. Jaylon is a horror show, and after Hitchens........who? Wilson, Wilber, and Durant?

Reuben Foster was right there. But we took Taco Bueno.
ouch

What's it going to be then, eh?

Broaddus suggested starting March-Lillard at ROLB and Hitchens at MLB.

Seems a bit ambitious for March-Lillard.
