1. Foles

Foles in benefiting from the Chip Kelly offense, but that isn't a reason to knock his great play.

2. Romo

The Romo coaster has fewer peaks and valleys, but it's moving a lot slower with such a low Yards Per Attempt.

3. Griffin

Sophomore slump, or did it really only take one year to "figure him out."

4. Eli

Since these ratings are based on this season, Eli has been terrible, and unable to carve up a young secondary like the Cowboys'. He's moved into a game manager position, but the Giants need him to be a leader to win.

Foles has played started 6 games. Was, NYG, Dal, GB, Oak, TB..not a top tier defense in the bunch. We might well be looking at the start of a great QB but he is not being asked to throw the ball. He is only averaging 194 yards a game. For that reason only, I put him as third or fourth..Six games is not enough to make a judgement.

This year, it's obvioiusly Foles, Romo, Griffin, Eli.

But again, people last year were talking about the mediocrity of Phil Rivers. Things change.

On ability..

1. Eli
2. Romo
3. Foles
4. RGIII

I just can't get over how well Eli played on their SB runs. I want so much to put Romo ahead of but I just can't. RGIII looks completely lost this season. He made a lot of easy throws last season when the read option was making D's crazy and people were running WIDE open.

If we are talking right now, Foles has been much, much better than Romo over the last several games.

1. Romo
2. Foles
3. Manning
4. Griffin

I'm only rating Foles higher than Manning for this season, though. I think next season Manning will have a much better season and Foles will probably have a mediocre season.

Clearly, Romo is #1 and Griffin is #4. But I'm going to reserve ranking the middle two until I see Foles play against the Cards this week. I know Foles and Eli will be on the edge of their seats waiting for my decision. LOL.

Eli's horrible year is not really an aberration. He's usually this bad, except for a hot streak at the end of 2007 and 2011.

Let's not exaggerate. He's not usually THIS bad. And he really did have a couple nice seasons in '09 and '11. But he's generally been no better than ordinary. And he's well on his way to leading the league in interceptions for the third time in his career.

He's definitely playing worse than he has in a long time. I think the worse comes from the team around him being worse than it has in a long time. But I disagree that he is playing significantly worse. Outside of a couple of stretches, he's just never been that great of a QB.

I won't argue.. They're both bad right now.

Eli just throws so many picks so that's why I put him last.

I can agree w that. They are both so bad right now. I just put Eli ahead bc at least he can throw somewhat. Some complete, some complete to the wrong team. Rg3 just plain sucks.

If a GM were starting a new team and had his pick of NFC East quarterbacks, Foles would be, at best, 4th on the list.

Really when Dallas beat Philly all I heard was Foles sucked and did not mean anything that the defense shut him down. I guess people only suck when Dallas wins. lol

Rating them in the order I would take them to start next year would be this:
Romo
RGIII
Eli
Foles
Cousins
Vick
Orton

If I were saddled with each of the NFC East rosters, I would choose Romo to QB all of the teams except the Eagles. For the Eagles I would choose RGIII first and then Romo.
