Just curious as to how you came up with 7.56 when all the other numers are whole.

And you forgot the most important Romo category:
MOXIE = 10

Size = 5. He's smallish but not tiny. 6'2", 225 in his bio but looks smaller. I'd guess rather middle of the pack.

Smarts = 7. He reads well from what I've seen and shows an awareness EXCEPT in clock management. Needs more work there.

Arm Strength = 6. He can get throws there but does not possess a cannon. Probably about average by NFL standards which is still quite good and puts in league with Tom Brady.

Arm Accuracy = 8. Seems quite accurate. Thorws a nice, catchable ball. Can be a bit behind WRs but outside Peyton and Brady most are on occasion.

Release Point = 7. This to me is a non-issue. He isn't a sidewinder like Henson was but not the high over the top form of Bledsoe. He is very Favre-ish with his release point and it helps his speed.

Release Quickness = 9. He does get rid of it when it gets started forward. That helps in many ways.

Pocket Presence = 8. Seems to enjoy a nice scramble but isn't gunshy. Then again, hasn't been mashed around a whole lot yet.

Running Ability = 8. He isn't Vick but he is nifty and gets to the first down markers.

Poise = 8. He bounced back from an ugly first half with a huge second half last week. Not alot to judge off of but he didn't crumble.

Leadership = 7. He will need to earn his stripes but the team has seen him enough in practice to have been behind him when he jogged into the huddle and thats a greta sign.

Honestly I bet Brady would have scored about the same after his first season of actual playing. Notsaying that means Romo snags a Lombardi for us this year just that they are of similar stature/ability/style early on in hteir playing careers. If he can escalate hsi smarts and accuracy to the 10 area where Brady is he will be truly special and we will be blessed as fans.

I'm going to agree with JT on every point. I am his echo.

I think jt is on too, but would already rank TR at least a half point higher on leadership and smarts. Of course, that grade-high inclination could be at least partially due to the linering effects of flunking Bledsoe for so long.

Tomorrow we get to see the "Kid" against a very good DC who in today's press mentioned he finally has his entire starting defensive lineup (as projected this summer) actually starting.

Greg Williams has taken as much heat as Saunders has and I can't believe he won't throw his entire bag of blitz package tricks at TR. A DC who for several years was labeled a 'genius' and a past and future HC, won't hesitiate to regain some pride and rep by focusing all his weapons on our young QB.

First and foremost, Dallas needs to protect Tony, but we will learn a lot about the young man tomorrow, and just how fast he can get those slants out to Witten and Owens when all hell is breaking loose around him.

The Skins are beyond desperate, this IS their season...with Moss out the onus will be even more on their D, and Tony will face the full brunt of the assault.

We will learn a lot about our new QB's poise, decision making, and speed/accuracy tomorrow.

As always you hit the nail on the head LTN. A desperate team is always dangerous and Tony will need to utilize all of his skills to get us through this game unscathed.

This effort will be synonymous with taking the following NFL QB classes 101,102,201,303 all rolled into a 3hr crash course.

My money says with help from the OL, D, ST, GP he passes w/flying colors.

When you have QB that have had alot of success in the NFL and they were lacking in more than a few of those I would say that I rate Romo's like this:

He moves the offense down the field.
He converts on 3rd downs.
After a BIG penalty setback, he still marches the offense down the field.

I will give him a B grade so far.

Bill Walsh said he looks for QBs who can avoid and then throw an accurate pass... from the pocket or outside of the pockett!!!

Football is still 11 on 11, sometimes the QB has to make 1 guy miss!!! Romo like Brady, Gannon, Flutie, Montana, Young and in his last 2 games Vick have all done this!

The Walsh = 8

At 1-0 he's already passed Aikman in career win percentage.

Man we're going to be good!
