Mosley & Esteridge debate Romo vs Cutler

Cutler over Romo? IMO, there isn't one GM in the NFL who would take Cutler over Romo right now.

Romo has the 'It Factor'. Cutler hasn't shown that just yet.

Rat talks having a big lead and teeing off against the QB.

I dont think it's fair to compare. Romo is clearly putting up better numbers, but Cutler doesnt have a #1 receiver the caliber of T.O., the best TE in football in Jason Witten. And altho I think they're a little overrated, our O-line is much better than Denver's.

I think it would be pretty close between Cutler and Romo. Romo has accomplished more (although nothing in the postseason), but he's also 3 years older. I think both are Top 5 NFL QBs this year, so it's not really anything to get worked up over.

I agree. The 3 year age difference is no biggie tho. Romo has the quicker release but Cutler has an arm, brother. I think Royal and marshall will be great WR's for Cutler. JMO.

Cutler looked really sharp last night. He had a pretty good season last year too. Not sure if it was the Denver OL or the Raiders lack of pass rush, or both, but he wasn't really hassled at all. The Raiders have a pretty good defense, so I'm surprised they looked so poorly yesterday. Early in the season, but I think it definately shows that some credit is due to Cutler.

I'd still take Romo over pretty much every QB not named Peyton or Brady, even though I'd say that this might be debatable as well.

I was impressed by Cutler last night and his arm strength, but it was the Raiders. How a QB handles a good pass rushing team and the blitz is the key to success IMO. Let's see how Cutler performs against the better defenses in the league.

Not much debate right now. I'd take Romo over Brady this Sunday.

Generally I agree.

But the Raiders did have a good defense last year. Burgess is usually very solid, and their LBs and secondary are good. Asamougha is excellent. I'm surprised DeAngelo Hall looked SO bad. I always felt he was vastly overrated, but I didn't think he would make a rookie look like a HOF in his first NFL start.

Depends. I think there's some GM's that would like Cutler's age and arm. Then again, Cutler has diabetes which I'm sure will concern some when it really shouldn't. On the flip side, there seems to be plenty of NFL higher ups that just do not like Romo. Remember all of those scouting reports on how overrated Romo was last year? I sure do.

Maybe the fact that Hall was defending against a rookie would be cause for surprise, but that's about it. I always thought he was VASTLY overrated. In fact if his rating was burnt toast he would be overrated.

Okay, I'm exaggerating for emphasis. He makes a play here and there but generally he is dog meat.

Cutler has the weapons in Denver to put up some serious numbers. I like the kid but give me Romo all day everyday...

I agree. And I think alot of hype surrounding him came because he ran his mouth alot, made some big plays, and MANY fans only watch the highlight reels. Based on that, sure you'd say he's a top CB.

Anyone who watched him last night saw that he's not very good on an every down basis. Asamougha is clearly better.

So getting paid to sit around and talk sports is a bad thing in your world?

You're right. I would much rather bang a hammer all day or lay brick or listen to some office snobs complain that Word won't let them print something or drive my big rig from state to state on 3 hours sleep.

I guess you can tell I don't agree and I would love a job sitting around talking sports.
