We talking about the same woman? How old is she?

I googled her and thought she looked in her 40s. You need a young chick. Besides you have a woman. OTOH, you ain't dead yet either.

How old is she and put her pic up will you?

SLATE, if this board were a team, who do you think the Greg Ellises would be? To stick with the analogy here, we're looking for posters whose whininess is excessive considering the circumstances.

DaBoys..ILoveMeSomeMe...JVita..Just to name a few.

She was born 12/06/62, so she's 46 at the moment.

Makes me think the team was really a mess last year. Was it just Mr. Owens to blame? Sounds like it was a more widespread deal.

It think it was a group of people, Owens, Pacman, Ellis and Tank.

I didn't read this whole thread, but you guys do realize that there were more than just supposedly one person, i.e. the media's favorite target, affecting team chemistry in the locker room last year? Since Rat said some positive things about Owens, and mentioned that he was a scapegoat, it would make me believe that it was the others that were affecting team chemistry in a bad way more so than Owens.

Nope, not entirely true. Yes there were others, as mentioned in this thread like Tank and Pacman primarily (which makes the whole Jerry wanting Pac back such an moronic statement by him, IMO). But Randy Galloway, mentioned on his show, that several players behind the scenes, although making public statements about TO being a good guy, told the management, not to pay attention to their statements. I.e. they just wanted to make sure they are good side of TO publicly. Which really reveals how much he had taken over the lockeroom, IMO.

Say whatever you want about Randy, his sources are rock sollid, when he reports based on sources, at least 90% of the time, since I have been listening to him on Radio for 5 years. His opinions are different matter though :D

Even the coaches were releaved by TO departure apparently. Hence there is more "Strictness" with coaches in off season and more demanding of players.

Jerry and players can keep playing public service to TO, but there is reason for TO being out of there. Its not because of tryhing to get young players more playing time as Jerry keeps trying to convince media.

When you have too many "hired guns" it can only hurt a teams' chemistry/identity IMO. Always try to build your team through the draft, especially your offense. I've always felt like the players who touch the ball most...C, QB, RB, WR, TE, etc...should be drafted and not taken from other teams. Don't get me wrong, cuz I do like Williams, Kosier, Holland, Davis, Colombo and what they bring to the table...it's just not the ideal for me.

So, basically you're saying the players lied, including Ratliff, which means that he could be lying about team chemistry here as well, right? Well, that doesn't bode well for their character. When do you choose to or not choose to believe them? When they fit one's preconceived notions or biases of who was at fault?

This is one of the reasons I despise many members of the media: they seem to have forked tongues.

Normally you find out about the chemistry or a team when you hit that bump in the road and if a team rally’s together or not. I'm glad Ratliff feels things are different now and we will see if it is more than just a feeling or not

Call me crazy but I think stuff like the being had by Tulius is infectious to a locker room. If guys start genuinely liking each other we will become a better team. I know of one player who despised Owens last year. I know of more than one who are elated he is gone.

Chemistry does matter.

I agree. Those two guys make it hard not to have fun as a team.

As for your insider information...I hate you. I really do.

Kills me to know that you know something like that and now I have to sit around here wondering who the heck those people were. UGH!!!! CURSE YOU HOS!!!!

I bet Tank was no prize in the room either ...

I remember his quote after the Eagles game, when he reminded his teammates: "I'm a free agent, baby" to everyone who could hear him.

He's probably the person I'm most happy is gone. Have fun going 4-12 or 5-11 in Cincy, Tank. It's exactly where a chump like you belongs.

Until you actually cite sources and name names its just all hearsay. It doesn't hold up in debate or a courtroom.

I could also claim that I know several players that are upset Owens is gone. I could also claim there is at least one player who despises Romo.

Yes, you certainly could, the only difference being that you have no track record of being able to back this stuff up so most everyone probably wouldn't listen to you, at all, while others will give Hos the benefit of the doubt because he's proven to know what he's talking about quite often.

Which of those 31 teams elected to trade for him when the opportunity was offered?

Which of them has swooped in to make him a member of their team now that he can be had for free?

Greg Ellis is not a bad person and he did help some rookies, but he was a bad influence because his emphasis the last few years has been on 'me' and the 'bad front office treating me like this'. The only thing he was interested in was money and how he could make more of it. He knew airing his grievances couldn't help the team, but only hurt it.

A lot of us are that way, but our particular selfishness doesn't adversely impact chances for football championships. His did, IMO.

:)
If your beef is with Ellis making his issue public, then I get it. What I dont get is how so many people have a problem with an individual trying to maximize his own income. Everyone here would do the exact same thing. No, he isnt starving, but why not make as much money as he can during his career so it is a non issue afterwards? What is so wrong with that?

Ha. They'd be on my list, too.

I was playing the irony card, but I don't have you pegged as a whiner. I do think you're being hard on Greg Ellis, who by all accounts was a really good guy who was just really, really insecure about his role on the team. The fact that he only chirped up in the offseason goes a long way with me.
