Keeping the injury report as trivial as possible would be the most important part of the evening, for me.
Next, competing on a high level, beyond the ones and twos; winning battles while playing faster. I understand kids play slower when their depth of understanding at this level is pretty much a fog, but it's time to ramp up.
Certainly a better job by players on defense to recognize and react more quickly. Kids up front shouldn't be so willing to take the easy way out as often as we saw before.
Take on blocks, get off them, and finish plays. Plenty of opportunity on that side of the ball. Hopefully, youngsters getting the bulk of the reps tonight take advantage. Just compete.
