What's funny is, no one cares about baseball. A pre-season game draws more interest than the World Series. If I were the NFL, I would have told baseball to stick it. Let the best team draw the crowd.

Doesn't work when they share parking lots.

Yep. MLB has the upper hand. But what happens if NFL schedules the game to the same time? Who will decide who gets the parking lot? Governer of Maryland? Or the mayor of Baltimore.

This will draw blood between NFL and MLB for sure and NFL will make MLB pay for this for years to come.

Who cares about Orioles? Move Orioles game to the next day and make them play a double header.

In most cases, unless stipulated in contract, it goes to whomever schedules first.

Wow, really stunned. Didn't the NFL basically say, here's your blank check for how much you think this will cost all parties and play your stupid game at noon?!?

How will the NFL make the MLB pay? The NFL already schedules games during the World Series.

And MLB teams aren't going to volunteer to play a double header, especially at the end of the season when they may be in a post season race. The NFL just got their panties in a bunch because they didn't get their way. If the NFL really wanted to play a game they would've just had it on Wednesday like they already did last season. The Rosh Hashanah excuse was total bull, the NFL has played games on Rosh Hashanah before and has never had any issue playing games on any other holiday.

All of these "who cares about baseball" posts are ridiculous.

Major League Baseball set its 2013 schedule last September, and they actually scheduled the day the NFL uses as its opener as a light one.

Only seven games were booked that day, as a lot of teams apparently use Thursday, Sept. 5 as a travel day before a weekend series.

Both the Orioles and the visiting White Sox are traveling the night before after playing a night game.

The Ravens play at home against the Patriots so it won't be them....it'll probably be the Steelers or Broncos.

Why? Baseball is boring. Why can they reschedule their game ? The only play 162 freaking meaningless games?

Baseball had record attendance last year.

Lots of us still love baseball.

Don't care what tv ratings say.

So basically, MLB should give in because you don't like the sport. Got it.

Yeah works for me. :). No but seriously would you think that the city of Baltimore would rather celebrate the SB win and a home opener? It's not like the Orioles are a competitive team. I had to look it up but the last time they made the playoffs was in 1997. Seems like they could have took one for the team and picked another day. Again they play of ton of games.

I don't expect the Ravens to make the playoffs next year.
