Get over it. That is what everyone said last year about Murray. If they bring Romo back, then great. If not, don't whine.

Hahahahaha. Listen to yourself.

Who is the one whining. All I did was comment and tell you to ask yourself the same question.

You get over it!

Is there proof of this? Besides 2 playoff wins in 10 years?

I certainly remember a 65 year old QB take over a 1-5 Cowboys team led by Romo, and winning more games with the same team than Romo... this notion that Romo makes the team better is clearly BS. We just didnt have a capable backup until now.

It's BS to you and your people.

Keep on sippin' on that Milwaukee's Best! LOL

A few standout quotes

Skip: Romo was never a leader in the sense Dak is, the reason Dak took over that locker room is because nobody was leading it in the first place
Great video

This point about Romo's leadership qualities struck me as well and I'm inclined to agree with him. I excluded it from my take away as not to incite the Romo crowd who probably thinks he is "General S. Patton" or something. They can live with their delusions of grandeur for all I care. Tony is not a natural born leader nor does he command the attention of the locker room in the same manner as Dak. I think with Dak there is going to be a little more accountability on everyone's part across the board. With that said, I also believe their individual personalities have the most significant impact on the way they each lead. Romo is not necessarily a bad leader, it may just be that Dak's personality of leadership is better suited for the NFL.

so no proof? exactly that i thought

Of what? That Tony Romo is a better QB?

Oh Absolutely. I've put it out on these forums for awhile now. But what's the use telling or showing you anything. You don't care.

All you have is six ballgames and an emotional tie to a player. You have conjecture and to be frank, just utter crap.

The mindset of a Romo fan:
1) Make a baseless claim with nothing to back it up
2) Attack anyone who disagrees attempting to discredit them
3) EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES

The idea that beer gut fans think they can make any comment whatsoever on locker room leadership from their couch is hilarious. Dak looks like a typical rookie to me, quiet and respectful. He's likely got a lot on his plate just getting ready for the games and making sure he knows what he's doing. I'm sure the veterans would have a nice hearty laugh at the idea that a rookie is leading them anywhere.

Skip, Shannon, and Ray look like they have huge beer guts. Wonderful observation there.

Create a million threads a day.
Whine like a baby when someone just can't grasp or come to terms with the crap you post.
Make baseless claims with nothing but six ballgames to back it up.

It is notable that teammates have talked about Dak's command of the huddle, poise and other leadership qualities as if this is something new. The offense as a whole seems more disciplined and consistent with Dak and everyone seems to be on the same page more than in the past.

That is a really good observation and I agree 100%. It also backs up what these guys in the video are saying.

I have made 377 posts, many of which include replies since the first preseason game. Only whining I hear is from Romo fans as he is at the end. The Dak era is just beginning. I have 4 years of following Dak to back up any comments I make about him. Also 13 years of nothing accomplished by Romo...

I think it's less that it's something new, and more that it's something you don't usually get from a rookie QB on a veteran team. You don't have the success Tony Romo has had in this league without knowing how to command a huddle.

I think it is also very telling that under Romo's leadership Dez continually showed his *** on the sidelines like a complete idiot. Now, he is under control after Dak put him in his place. This much has been extremely obvious.

I also can't help but believe Dak has been a VERY positive influence on Zeke. They are very good friends off the field as well. This is not taking away anything from what Zeke has done so far.

Guys, can we knock off the 'Romo fan' v. 'Dak fan' stuff? It just divides the forum and takes away from an otherwise interesting topic about who the QB of the Dallas Cowboys really should be.

Will take this advice. I will stick to the facts from here to make my points.

Its possible that they are impressed with him because he's a rookie but some of the comments seem as if its more than just - he's doing a good job as a rookie. Everywhere he has been people have said his leadership and intangibles are off the charts. So I'm getting the impression that he is very special in that way. Guys that are like that seem to have success wherever they go and get the most out of those around them.

I watched as people argued over 2 and more poor QB during the campo years you had to expect it to be even more fierce when talking 2 good QB. lol

I like both of these QB and refuse to belittle and show compete disrespect to either guy. Coaches will have a tough choice to make but frankly I like the fact the argument is over better players than what we saw back then.

I think you're probably right about that. I suspect he's a more natural leader than Tony ever was in some ways. Tony led the team in his own way, but it came from being so smart, being an absolute jedi on the field, and by playing through anything that happens to him. Once you get Witten in your back pocket, you know you have the whole team. You can also see clips of him mentoring Dak on the sidelines during games, and hear from the tone that he's still the lead dog in a lot of ways.

But I don't doubt for a bit that Dak's got a swagger and a natural leadership quality and a swagger that Tony never had naturally. It's just a personality thing, and it's that 'it' factor coaches have been raving about and the players all are mentioning. Again, it's a great quality to have in a young QB.

They're both very good. That's what makes the debate interesting. It's also something that can divide a forum, and that's not going to happen for a 5-1 team if I can help it. :) After sitting through last season with zero QBs on the active roster and hearing the problems were coaching and play calling, now that we've got 2 good ones, I'm going to damn well sit here and enjoy it.
