I'm watching Inside the NFL right now and they showed a little clip of Ray yelling at the head coach. He basically said "Every time you take your best middle linebacker out of the game, they run it up the middle on us. I've been playing this game for 13 years and I was tell you coaches the same thing." Then he smacks his helmet and walks off.

Big deal, players that care about winning get passionate. Now chime in about TO:rolleyes:

If you're trying to compare Ray Lewis and his ways to TO, you're way off base.

Ray Lewis has been the heart and soul of one of the best defenses in NFL history, and won a SB ring with the best defense the NFL has ever seen.

TO has been a controversial WR for three different teams who has yet to win a Super Bowl.

No, but he will be better than Thomas!!

A.) He's not coming here because of what he means to Baltimore
B.) He's not coming here because him and TO are not exactly friends
C.) He's not coming here because we're not going to be players in FA
D.) He's not coming here because we're not going to try and buy a ring

He's not coming here. Lets move on.

I agree. For all those reasons and the price it would take to get him, I don't want him here.

This doesn't change my opinion one way or the other. What's said in frustration during the game is one thing--how that gets patched up behind closed doors is another.

Oh, btw, I don't think he would really help here (too expensive for his production and I don't think he'll automatically whip the clubhouse into shape).

How is it off base? Because he's been with the team for that long? Big deal.

I don't have a problem with those kinds of players, but to dismiss that they aren't similar situations is rediculous.

He basically through Bart Scott under the bus there, basically saying that he wouldn't be able to take over when Ray goes out.

Forgive me if I am mistaken but after 13 Seasons, Ray Lewis is still with the Baltimore Ravens, the team that drafted him.

On the other hand, the guy this thread was obviously made in support of is on his 3rd team, after being ran out of town by the previous two.

Between Ray Lewis and Terrell Owens, I wonder who has a better reputation among NFL Coaches, Front Office Personnell and Players?

Yeah its not the way to go about it but FRUSTRATION sets in for Ray and TO and guys like them.

There are wrong in their approach... but not wrong overall.

Ok, even more evidence that says comparing TO to Ray Lewis is off base.

Thank you.

In Jerrys twisted mind he thinks bringing Ray Lewis here will solve his TO problem...because Ray and TO are not friends. TO is the hardest nut to crack. Anybody that can run off Bill Parcells is probably not worth it. Ray will see how cut TO is...how hard he practices...how much he works. And TO will convince him that it can never be his fault because of how hard he works. The only way to solve the TO problem in Dallas is to get rid of him. TO is eye candy. And because of his physique.....because of how hard he practices...he has the guys in the lockeroom fooled. You cannot win in December with cats like TO...because TO thinks it should be all TO all the time. The other day on NFL replay they were showing the Giants Cowboys playoff game where Emmit played with a dislocated shoulder. The commentators kept pointing out the fact that Irvin did not have any catches in the 2nd half...or something to that effect. But you can play like that with Irvin because he was about winning. You cannot defeat the Ravens, the Steelers, the Eagles in cold December games because TO puts to much pressure on the offensive coaches and QB to build a game plan around him. I am not a Garrett apologist....but I have decided that I am backing Romo/Garett/Witten...and TO can go for all I care. No one in the Final Four this year had weapons like we had this year. But it did not matter. In fact having so many weapons creates an attitude amongst players that "with all we got, all I have to do is this and we will win". It negates getting maximum effort from everybody.

Have we not learned anything this past season?

You dont buy a championship. Period.

They don't get it. Even the fans think throwing money at the problem is the answer.

I disagree. TO respects a winning attitude and Ray is the epitome of win/attitude. They would get along just fine because each player will know that every time he is on the sideline there's someone on the field from the other side of the ball that's ready to ball out at all costs.
