Good receiver, straight-line speed, but not that flexible or has much in lateral movement. I think he will be pretty good. Probably gets drafted in round 4 I think.

One of my favorite RB's in the draft. Would be all over him if he was still there in the 4th!

In our system he is absolutely ideal, I would see if he is available in the 5th, we have a lot of needs.

After reading more into him, it even gets better.

Stat: Over 400 carries since he has last fumbled the ball. When? 2008, his freshman season

I have questions....

The 4.38 40, is that combine time or pro day time.

6'3" is a bit bigger than I like my RBs to be. For those who saw him play, does he tend to run high? Does he take on a lot of contact?

4.38 is pro day, he was not a combine invitee.

This is from NFL.com who added him to the list not too long ago

Overview

At Central Florida's pro day, Murray ran the 40-yard dash in 4.40 and 4.38 seconds. He had a 10-foot-4 broad jump and a 36-inch vertical jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.36 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.81 seconds. He also performed 22 lifts of 225 pounds on the bench press.

Tyson Thompson 2.0

Lol Thompson had no moves and little understanding of blocking. We will see if L.Murray is the same.

You are correct, 6 Foot 3 is pretty big. But 4.38 (Pro Day) is unbelievable for a runningback that big. Add on to that he hasn't fumbled in 4 years, i don't see how this guy is not on a lot of teams boards

I've had this guy on my UDFA list for the last few months.

In an ideal world, we have the ability to draft Jonathan Franklin and Knile Davis, however, this world is not ideal. We only have 6 picks. So Murray would be a great 6-UDFA prospect.

Weird reel. Not a lot of contact in those highlights.

And, man, is he an upright runner. With his height, he'd have to be, but even for his height this guy would get killed in the NFL running that way.

That's what I'm thinking. They should convert this guy into a wide receiver. I want a short running back with a low center of gravity who is hard to tackle. This guy is just going to topple over. Demarco even seems fairly big but he is 6ft even and also runs with his shoulders down a lot (hopefully new rule doesn't kill him).

Stepfan Taylor is only 5-11. Doug Martin 5-9. Ray Rice 5-8. Trent Richardson 5-9.

AP is 6-1, but he is pure beast mode.

I have watched this kid almost every game he has played. He does run a touch upright, but I hope Dallas has taken notice because he would be an incredible backup to Murray. He is a great pass protector, hits the right holes in the run game and man can he catch out of the backfield!

IMO, he would be a much better at the Joker (Aaron Hernandez) role if he were to switch positions. He played some TE at UCF prior to becoming the starting HB because of his blocking in the passing game and his soft hands. He switched back to RB later that season due to injuries and was too good there to move back.

I watched almost every game he has played (UCF Alum). He does run a little high, but he has displayed very good vision and football smarts. I say that because he always found secondary holes on the fly when the primary one was filled with defenders.

He has very subtle wiggle if that make sense, always falls forward. Not as much contact as some scouting reports might lead you to believe.

If they don't upgrade the line, then Dallas should look for a player with more juke. I don't know if that player exists, but Murray's game is not suited to escaping multiple defenders in the backfield as soon as the QB hands of the football.

He is very much a JG type of player. He was a leader in the UCF locker room and was in the gym all the time. When they played BC a few years ago, he did an excellent job of blocking Luke Kuechly when BC blitzed him.

Anyone notice the push his OL was getting in most of the film? They were consistently 3-5 yards down the field when he made is breaks.

Maybe we should take a hard look at their OLinemen instead, given our need...

Wonder what he would do with a Dlineman in his face as soon as he touches the ball like Murray has to deal with?

Someone was nice enough to put together two games from 2012 that only show the plays he was in for. Much easier to review real game situations than a highlight film that is intended to solely make someone look good.

The Marshall game shows off more of his wiggle imo.
