Bills waived RB ReShard Lee, QB Tory Woodbury, WR Tony Brown, P Steve Baker, DE Uyi Osunde, LB Daryl Towns and DB Rob Lee.
Lee had a chance to win the backup running back role behind Willis McGahee. It looks like the Bills will go with Lionel Gates or Shaud Williams. Aug. 28 - 4:44 pm et

For the curious.

What? He was such a great RB with all this talent. He was going to make us wish Bill hadn't released him.

Is anyone from our 2004 opening day offensive backfield even going to be in the NFL come opening day 2005. Nope.

I can't believe they'd keep Gates on the team after the game he had this week. He was horrible.

Dillinger,

I went to SA Lake View and we played against Shaud his senior year (my sophomore year). I wasn't on varsity, but I was at the game. He is a trememdous talent. He seemed to be a great person too. He participated in track (I think a hurdler), too. Never brushed other people away. I really hope he goes far.

I really thought he might have clinched a spot after the 67 yard Kickoff return for TD against Green Bay... I'm sure he'll catch on somewhere.

Yeh he also played centerfield and let our team in homeruns in 98 when we won state...He started as a freshman and never gave the job up...Track, baseball, football and basketball. he played it all....And one other thing he is a very good person, he works with the local youth every chance he has...To tell you what kind of home he comes from his dad has been the trash man for the county forever..Rufus ...lol...Every day you see him hes always smiling and loved his job...

Wow -- you think they would have traded him for a 2nd rounder. At least they would have if some of us were GMs.

Buffalo probably realized that Reshard Lee can't block. That was his problem in Dallas.

I liked Rashard a lot because of the great field position he always gave us on kickoff returns. That was my beef in releasing him. Every kickoff it seemed like he found a seam and was one tackle away from taking it home.
Of course that field position was quickly forgotten and unappreciated because it was usually followed by an Interceptaverde special.

He had a bad week, but he still shows more potential than Lee. Gates runs much like Henry did. The trick is he has to learn to run between the tackles rather than breaking it outside everytime. Lee showed very little of anything this preseason. I'm not surprised by this at all.

Not to sound like I'm bragging on the Bills, but we have lots of great return guys...that's because our blockers know what they're doing, making all the return men look good. last year alone we had four guys return kicks/punts for touchdowns. This preseason Lee looked good, but so did Leonard, Clements, and McGee...oh, and now we have Roscoe Parrish too. There's just no room on the roster for a guy looking to make the team on kick return ability alone.

Me thinks Philly might pick him up. Andy Reid knows first hand that the kid has talent and he may be patient enough to work with him.

That is a good place for him. I hope he gets picked up somewhere but I'd just as soon he not go to Philly. He does return well enough I don't want to face him.

Lee, Dixon, Hunter. A number of POS players that made our team last year but probably will be out of the NFL this year. Shows how horrid our roster was.
