Was not happy with Scandrick play last night
He played much better than Brandon Carr. I think this could be Carr's last year in a Dallas uniform. He was really bad last night and has been very erratic the last two years after starting out really good the first couple years.

Most distressing part of the game besides almost not winning was our utter inability to get the Giants off the field on third down, especially third and long.

Sure but it isn't about stopping every third down. It is about making stops when it matters. We put two straight three and outs on the Giants coming out of the half then two more in the 4th quarter. Those plays pretty much kept us in the game. You want to do better - the first half was a disaster for the D but it was something about the character of the team to have the D come back like that in a road game against a team that always plays us tough

They both sucked. Scandrick had the 15 yard penalty too. I expect better.

Dekoda Watson has a hamstring issue. We need him to step in and help our special teams with heath out and possibly randle too.

The short passes to Beasley and screens will make Philly pay if they want to blitz.

Sure but it isn't about stopping every third down.

Except we weren't stopping them on *any* third down, including very long 3rd downs. At one point they were what, 7 out of 7 on 3rd down as Dooms noted? That's not acceptable performance from your defense. You are going to give up some third downs. We were giving up EVERY third down. And it almost cost us the game. If we don't get that Eli tip ball pick, getting 21 points hung on us in the first half on three consecutive TD drives would have done us in. We have got to generate early pressure on third and long in order to force a quick throw - and how many times did it look like we'd stop them with contact before the sticks but they still managed to get there? First three drives were demoralizing.

Thankfully, we rallied with that last stand on 4th down. Thing is, we don't have to stop on them on 3rd and 2 and 4th and 2 if we could have stopped them in the first half on 3rd and 12... perform solid early and you don't have to perform heroics late.
