The Cowboys cannot afford to play less than their best against the Lions Sunday because, even though the Lions have a poor record and have played inconsistently, they are still a dangerous opponent. Hopefully, Henry will be back to help with Detroit's three excellent, big wideouts. Detroit also has a strong running game. Our best approach would be to stuff their running game early, build a lead, and make them one-dimensional on offense. Key to stuffing their running attack will be smart play by our OLBs, keeping containment and making sure tackles.

On offense, we should have good success with our passing attack if we can keep Bledsoe clean. After our performance against the Iggles, I think we may need to give Petitti and Tucker a good deal of help. We should also be able to run successfully if our passing game offers any threat at all.

This is a should-win game. If we show up ready to play, then we can do something good, and continue, one game at a time, through this season.

I agree with the original poster, in that we must play at a high level against Detroit. This is a must win for us if we want to keep our chances for a division title alive. Denver is going to be real tough on Thursday. We must insure we win against Detroit, a team we should beat. We must be at least 7-4 going into the stretch run IMO.

Okay, well I guess his suspension is over

He still has done squat in the NFL

I agree he has not done a thing in the NFL and I want to see that continue in the upcoming game. I think the guy has the athletic ability but for whatever reason he has not been able to put things together. Roy Williams on the other hand is a threat. I fully expect Dallas to win this game but I don't take any game lightly and I don't put a W next to any game until it is over.

Agreed. In ways the Det game is more important than the Denver game for the simple reason the Lions are an NFC team and part of a tie breaker equation while Denver is AFC and has no bearing on a tie breaker. I do think the Denver game represents a measuring stick for the Cowboys as Denver is considered by most to be one of the top NFL teams right now
