I guess that is why I have such a problem with the hype. They didn't finish the season strong at all. If you didn't get up for the last game against the Pats you would be considered a bunch of losers. On top of that, they beat a 9-7 playoff team...big deal!

In a what have you done for me lately media world, the last 2 games are all that matter. Overall they are averaging 27.5 ppg because of those last two. They inflate the stats. The fawn all over the Patriots media were impressed by that close loss.

How hot are they? Lava hot if you don't look at the big picture as you've presented it.

Second half of the year they finished 4-4, they blew a Two score lead against the Pats and beat a bad and injured Tampa Squad, I would say not very Hot, it's all media hype.:starspin

This hype is no different than the last time they played at NY and the Giants were on that six game winning streak. Amazing how losing to New England and beating a Bucs team with no RBs and dinged up WRs will make a team look like they are primed for an upset!

Wasn't it only right before the Buffalo game that the Giants were "in free fall" according to the media?

I think the Giants are feeling confident in themselves right now and did play a good game vs the Pats and took care of Tampa on the road. I don't put too much into going into the playoffs with a win streak as much as I do going into the playoffs confident. I do think the Giants have that going for them

That's the point. It's the mental confidence a team has at this point in the season. I don't think the Giants are great, but the way they played the Pats, who had HISTORY AND EVERYTHING to play for that night, has to give them confidence that they can play with the very best.

Unfortunately for us right now, since the Eagles game we've been going through the motions. Hopefully, we can turn on the fire like we saw in the Packer game when we obviously played with a lot of emotion and desire.

I'm not really concerned about the Cowboys being mentally ready for this. I do think this team believes they are very good and they will be excited for this playoff game. Dallas set down their goals this season and 1 by 1 they have stepped up and taken care of those goals I don't that has changed. Dallas will be ready

I think we are forgetting this is the NFL and the playoffs are the most important time of the year for ad revenues and marketing for ratings in efforts to keep regional and casual fans watching while their teams sit at home.

What would get you more excited, a conference leading 13-3 team taking on a 10-6 team that it beat twice (by more than 10)during the season at home after a weeks rest,

or

An 8-1 road warrior, sack machine juggernaut with a young elite QB rolls into town fresh off a playoff win against a rusty, yet familiar team with an unfocused inexperienced QB and an injured playmaker who may not play. Plus, as an added bonus, these two teams have play each other twice already and the road team's QB is coming off the two of the best games of his career. Sounds like an upset in the making...

Which game would you rather watch as a Kansas City Chiefs or an Oakland Raiders fan?

And who says Dallas is rusty? It could be said they are fresh right now and pretty healthy.

That's just it. They're not hot, but the media acts like they're on a 10 game winning streak. They went 4-4 the last half of the season and looked TERRIBLE doing it. They got killed by the Vikings and looked horrible against the Redstains. Most of the media is simply braindead.
