Since before I can remember. My grandmother was a diehard fan. It didn't hurt that they were winning Super Bowls in my formative years.

and that was?

I watched some games in 69 but was really into in 1970....

A little off topic...but..

It kills me that since 1982 I have been living overseas and realized that the America I left behind is not the one I will one day be going back to (missed the whole M-tv thing and such)...but it only seems like such a short time that I have been away and than I look at some of the dates on these young ones and I think my God... what happened to the time... but still in all that time I think I have seen 95% or upwards of the Cowboy games while I have been away and that is saying something...

In all the years of watching the Cowboys I have not once left a game early nor turn the TV off before the game has ended. Even in blowout losses I will sit there in misery but I can't ever bring myself to turning the game off or walking out on the Cowboys.

I could have said the same thing until the last game of the season last year against the Eagles. That is the only Cowboys game I didn't finish watching in my 46 seasons as a fan.

1972, 5 years old. I grew up in San Antonio and I'm currently serving in Germany.

I'd never been to a game until last year vs. Baltimore. :-(

January 1993, the week leading up to the NFC Championship game in San Francisco. I was 7.

The Ice Bowl, when we played the Packers to a standstill at Lambeau Field, that "rarely" happened back then. Have been with them ever since.

At first, elation....then disappointment...then the comeback...only to be crushed in the end.

It was that season when I started developing an interest in football, and the Cowboys were the team on TV every Sunday. At first I watched the games out of curiosity, probably because that's what my dad was watching, but I grew more interested every week.

I was 11 years old, and after that final game of the season, I was hooked on Roger Staubach.

I was around 5 or 6..so 1976 or 1977. I'm guessing it was Tony Dorsett's rookie year because both of my Grandmothers still have 100 of my Tony Dorsett drawings. Not my best work but it's obvious the passion for the Cowboys was there.

Cowboy fan first. I don't think I discovered USC, the Lakers, or the Dodgers until several years later.

Growing up, I was into soccer and baseball and didn't give football much thought.

There was an old guy that worked at the convenience store near my house, Frank. He was a TOTAL die hard Cowboys fan. He used to get ragged on all the time about being a Cowboys fan, but he was ever faithful. He'd always say "Next game" or "Next year." Just loved them no matter who was on the team how well or bad they did or what anybody else had to say.

Sadly he passed away before the 1990 season...I dunno why but it moved me from a casual football fan to a Cowboys fan from that point on. Now...I've chosen the Cowboys over GFs LOL

since 79, and will never be anything else. I listened to every blacked out game on the radio in 89. I jumped for joy like we were going to the bowl when (i believe it was michael downs) deflected the ball for us to beat the Commanders. I love the star.

I'm a lifer. Been a Cowboys fan since 1981. I think my Dad put a Cowboys one-sie on me before the doctors gave me to my Mom. He was born in '55 in Ft. Worth, so he's been a fan since they existed. I remember my Dad asking me who was my favorite player, and I would say, "Too Tall, Too Tall". Probably because it was the easiest name to say. When people ask me who my favorite team is, I always say, "Well, my Dad raised me to be a man, so that makes me a Cowboys fan." The Dallas Cowboys is something that him and I will always have, and I am forever grateful for it. I just hope that one day I will have a son to share the love of the Dallas Cowboys with.

I was born in 88, I've liked the Cowboys since I could remember what football was. My dad is a Cowboys' fan. He's more of the casual variety, he watches and roots for them, but he doesn't live and die with them like I and a lot the people here do. Growing up in an environment where the Cowboys were always on made them fit me like a glove, as I said since I can remember football, I liked the Cowboys and associated the sport with them. I'd say I made the jump from liking them to true fan in 98. The thanksgiving game with Moss eating the Boys up was the first time I can remember the Cowboys hurting my feelings.
