And he's gone?Jerry of course.
And he's gone?Jerry of course.
Show me where anyone here said the team is incredible. Anyone. At anytime. I’m waiting……..I root hard for them every week even if it seems like they will be outmatched. That’s what being a fan is.
I don’t think that being a fan means you always believe the team is going to be incredible when every indicator says otherwise.
When a “good fan” says “ 10 wins and playoffs”, should they be labeled a hater by a fan who thinks the team wins 14 and makes the Super Bowl?
I say as long as you root for your team every week, you’re a damn good fan.
That’s cool. Nothing wrong with that.This.
I root for them every single (f..) week. But im not always optimistic about the score.
I have 0 expectations when the teams administration and players aren’t just good. This season so far has been the case.
16 of us predicted 12+ wins.Show me where anyone here said the team is incredible. Anyone. At anytime. I’m waiting……..
Show me where I, or anyone else, said this was an incredible team. You can’t, so be a man and admit you’re wrong.16 of us predicted 12+ wins.
You, yourself, predicted 11.
To be kind, those are some extremely optimistic predictions.

100%. I did not have any delusions about winning the Super Bowl this year. I also didn’t have delusions about going to the playoffs this year. So I’m focused on player development and coaching development.Do you agree that the goal this year should not be the wins/losses, but rather the development of some of the young and promising players on the team?
Appreciate the positive outlook! The season is far from over and if they get healthy and make defensive adjustments they could be competitive. I just have no expectations for the team they could win a couple more games, or they could surprise and be a fringe playoff team. When they traded away Parsons I accepted that this season is more about building for the future, but let's see where it goes lots of football left. If they get to the half way point and are 5-2-1 maybe the season can be salvaged but if they're 3-4-1 through their easier stretch it'll be hard to see a potential playoff run.Don’t listen to all the naysayers here who’ve already given up on the season. A season that isn’t even 25% over. They have one of the best, if not the best, offense in the league. Yes, they also have one of the worst, if not the worst, defenses in the league. The defense has had a different DC the last 3 years. Because of that, they’re struggling to learn this latest defensive scheme. IMO, they’ll steadily start to improve going forward. They’ll also get some help with some players coming back from injury.
It’s a long season and usually the ones standing at the beginning of the playoffs are the ones that have sustained the least amount of injuries. Just look at all the players around the league with season ending injuries to star players.
Hate breeds hate and there’s no better place to prove that than here. Don’t listen to them. Just because some yahoo here says they suck and aren’t going anywhere doesn’t mean they’re right. I don’t give up until the fat lady sings. And she’s not even warming up it’s so early.
What? So, it’s the word “incredible” you’re looking for?Show me where I, or anyone else, said this was an incredible team. You can’t, so be a man and admit you’re wrong.
But dudes like Rockport won’t allow you to define progress your own way. You have to define it *his* way, which for him, meant 11+ wins100%. So the OP states why we shouldn’t give up on the season. I would say reasons not to give up on the franchise is:
Young players development
Schotty is getting the most out of Dak
Schotty got the guys not to fold against premier teams like Eagles and Packers
2 first round draft picks the next 2 drafts
Schotty might be a QB whisperer and this is a QB league, possibly Jerry’s nepotism hire might actually work out
I won’t give up on this season because my expectations of this season it to evaluate players, coaches, purge bad contracts and get younger players reps and experience. So far in my mind this is happening and the Win Loss record isn’t as important as the coach showing progress and moving forward getting Revel, Nate Thomas, J Thomas, and other young players reps and confidence. So, so far in mind this season has been successful.
That’s you saying you’ve given up on the season. That’s cool and you’re perogative. Just don’t hide behind it.100%. I did not have any delusions about winning the Super Bowl this year. That’s just something you came up in your mind to make yourself feel better about yourself. But dudes like Rockport won’t allow you to define progress your own way. You have to define it *his* way, which for him, meant 11+ wins
Took me too many years to reach this point, so I can understand why some fans have not. It ultimately is just a game and is not worth stressing over.I understand now what you were saying and actually agree with you 100%. I’m the same. Enjoy the games and see what happens. Win or lose, we still enjoy the journey.
It's a great offense. I knew that would be the case when the season started. You’re right Rock, the fat lady hasn’t sung yet on the Cowboys’ season. But she’s doing vocal exercises in the wings, LOL! Jk.
It’s a long season, and although things have not started as hoped, it’s only been about 25% of the season.
So If I’m being hopeful, I think we can improve. If I’m being straight up honest, I don’t think this is a very good team. I’ll be pulling for them either way.
You’re the one who used incredible. No one has said that. You said otherwise. Admit you were wrong if you have it in you. Enough of the insults. I’ve been very cordial with you. What? So, it’s the word “incredible” you’re looking for?
You are a vicious little piece of work aren’t you?
Weirdo.
Same here. No expectations of winning a SB. Just watching the games and enjoying the ride no matter. I love watching the Cowboys. Win or lose. It’s my entertainment.Took me too many years to reach this point, so I can understand why some fans have not. It ultimately is just a game and is not worth stressing over.
That doesn't mean that there haven't been a lot of things I've disagreed with over the years, and I've voiced some of those things, but I'm not going to let expectations drag me down anymore. Not a thing I can do to change what happens.
Still don't care for losing, but I can brush it off now because I have no expectations. Even going into Sunday's game, I am not expecting a victory despite the fact that the Jets are 0-4. I always hope for one, but expecting has just brought me heartache over the last 30 years.Same here. No expectations of winning a SB. Just watching the games and enjoying the ride no matter. Nice post.hang in there Don. I might be wrong, but i think rockport has good intentions and he would like to rally the troops on here to be positive.
Yeah, I only hope they win week to week. If it doesn’t happen it doesn’t happen. Nothing we can do about it. But whining all the time (not you) doesn’t help. It just shows lack of character IMHO.Still don't care for losing, but I can brush it off now because I have no expectations. I have been trying to reach this point for a few years and I think last year finally pushed me over the edge. I'm thankful for that because I can just enjoy the games now for what they are rather than what I wanted them to be.
Thank you for the sanity in here100%. I did not have any delusions about winning the Super Bowl this year. I also didn’t have delusions about going to the playoffs this year. So I’m focused on player development and coaching development.
