1. Jeff Ireland will have a little better draft position to work with than if we went and laid down in an away-wildcard game somewhere. His first year drafting was pretty dam stout. Also thnx to Chris Hall and all our YOUNG billy-goat-beard scouting staff, who took over from the most hanging-on-geriatric old-dudes scouting staff in history.
2. Payton is done. What has Sean Payton accomplished? Jim Fassel demoted him when the Giants O fairly sucked about halfway through (2002?) .. and I remember the offense picked up when Fassel was running the O. I remember Fassel's explanation why their offense picked up was that Payton was too complex in ways, either in number of plays, variations in formations, or something, for players to be effective. My thought when Parcells hired him was ... why? Now, the Cowboys are middle of the league in offense, including points. OK not bad. We got blown out in a couple of games. Is it bad one-on-one play on the OL and bad execution, or bad schemes responsible ... or is it one-and-the-same-thing, or Fassel's reasons above, or the same, or the other, or should I go get another beer? Or should Payton be fired which is what I hope by writing this thread?
3. Who should we blame for last-minute losses this year? This is another subthread that I can't explain now because I need more beer. When is "My Name Is Earl" on again?
