I heard most of the interview this a.m. but dont recall all the details, maybe some others can chime in.
For those who dont know, Dye Jr. is the son of former Auburn coach Pat Dye and is the agent for Keith Brooking and DeMarcus Ware (among others)
Most of the interview was about Brooking signing with Dallas. Said Wade reviewed tape of every single game Brooking played before telling Jerry to go after him. Said his "off" yr was more the result of moving back to 4-3 OLB (weakside) and having to play in space too much vs the pass than being washed up. Said Wade has a specific plan for Brooking and they believe he will be a significant upgrade over Zach Thomas. Said he doesnt know if Brooking will play every down but the coaches did feel he was a better option on pass downs than Thomas was. Said he will definitely not be exposed downfield in coverage at ILB here the way he was at OLB in Atlanta. Said Wade and the coaches also value what Brooking will bring the lockerroom. Said Brooking did have multiple offers and the Falcons did make every attempt to resign him. Said Brooking was extremely excited about playing in the same LB corp as Ware and Bradie James, along with the people in the secondary we had (didnt name anyone). Believes the Cowboys have too much talent to not be a major factor next yr. Mentioned he liked our offensive talent alot.
If he talked about Ware getting a new deal I didnt hear it.
