Wait a minute it is White's fault!

He was covering Dwight Clark in the back of the endzone...

Don't forget "NO DANNY!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!" it's not only the lack of superbowls that makes people undervalue him. I grew up watching him and just like with Roger you just knew he'd find a way to win it in the end, with DW you knew he'd find a way to loose the big ones in the end, great stats QB, not a great QB IMHO.

The Danny White era was tough.

Danny was very good statistically and with the exception of the above-mentioned "No, Danny, Noooo" moment, he was a guy who followed Landry's gameplan to the letter (unlike Roger).

But, IMO, Danny White was not a great quarterback. He had the big comeback against Atlanta in the playoffs, but he also had the big fumble late in the loss to the 49ers in "The Catch" game.

And Danny didn't inspire anyone. The DMN did a locker room poll in the mid-1980s and the majority of the players wanted White benched and wanted Hogeboom out there. Of course White was better, but that shows that he didn't have his teammates with him.

Danny was "it" for a few years and did a solid job, but he didn't have "it."

Just my opinion.

Had Danny White won a Superbowl he was would have been considered like Steve Young following in the footsteps of a legend...

Bradshaw gets knocked for being a goofy cuss now and then, but I gotta tell you, I appreciate his candor. Some guys will not ever give you there opinion. They dance around stuff all the time. Bradshaw is critical when called for, praises when due.

As painful as it is to admit it I appreciate his honesty.
