Well here I am at the Déjà Vu cuisine restaurant, in the kitchen preparing left over crow stew. But I don't have to get served this mess, I could have crow Fillet Mignons, with baby peas and rice, or fried crow.

While I'm eating my crow, I'd like to formally say that in 2005, the Dallas Cowboys officially own the Eagles. Congratulations -- no excuses.

But I will say that we have only one foot in the grave!

I have said it before and I will say it again, you are a better man than I. I just don't think I could do what you do. Out of all times I have ever seen you on this site you have never
came here to bad mouth or to troll. I have to commend you for that. That said I think you are right in thinking that the Eagles aren't done. there are two othe division rivals that you have to take your wraith out on.

Classy as always PT. We stole that one, but I'll keep it. ;) Good luck against the Giants!

Pheonix, You are a class guy. Not everyone would come on here and stir up stuff then come back to eat crow when they lose. The foreskins people just have a bunch of whiny excuses. The ref's made a bad call or what ever excuse but they will not face reality. The foreskin fans would never even admit they lost much less eat crow. Then they live in a dream world about how they will win the big one.
The reality of this game is it was very close and could have gone either way almost to the very end. Sure we won the game but we did not dominate like the first game.
Both teams never gave up and it was close, too close for comfort.
It is so good to see the NFC East getting more competitive but I will say the same thing I did last year. Nobody from the NFC East has what it takes to win the big one right now. I think the Cowboys, Giants and even the Foreskins are getting better. I do not think any of them could get by Steelers, Patriots or Indy in the end.
Now I am optimistic about next year because we are on a definate improving trend but everyone knows that with free agency etc that each year could be totally different.
I think the Eagles are on a downward spiral but once again that can all change in the off season. It does not change the fact that for the last few years the Eagles have been a very good team in a very weak division.
Still I am impressed that you come on to our board, stir up good natured arguements and then step up to the plate for a good serving of crow afterwards. I will not make any comments about how the crow tastes because some of us came very close to having a big ol' serving of crow ourselves. Curly

Well Phoenix-talon, I for one ( think we were beyond lucky) to escape with the win. I also am of the opinion that we would have lost had McNabb not gotten hurt... he played a very gutsy game and was killing us for 3/4 of the game...

...I have something to pose to you.

This Friday is the hearing. If McNabb is seriously hurt to the point that he would be a detriment to the team making a serious run for the playoffs it may be in the team's best interest to sit him down and let him have the surgery.

Given that McNabb is not the QB in this scenario the team will be looking for weapons/playmakers to win ball games.

IF, T.O. wins the hearing I believe that he is pursuing the right to join the team on the active roster. With Donovan potentially out and Koy the "man" maybe T.O. says I will behave for a shot a playing out this season and showing what I can do with this QB.

We would assume that giving T.O. his outright release would be bad for the team, and maybe the locker room dynamics would not be so bad with a different QB? As long as Reid was a party to this decision.

Thoughts?

Of course he's classy. After all, he's an Air Force veteran!

I honestly thought we were done for and couldn't have ever imagined this game playing out as it did. Hopefully, McNabb will get better and can knock off the rest of our NFC East foes.

We were the ones with one foot in the grave last night but fate intervened and we came away with the win. It is ironic that we won this game the same way we lost the Monday Night game against the Commanders, dominated for the whole game only to have a couple of miracle plays at the end to steal the victory.

It is very tough to bear a loss like that but you have shown a lot of class in coming here without excuses. I wouldn't say that you need to eat crow though sa your team played very well and dominated both sides of the line throughout. They played a lot better than I was expecting so if anyone needs to eat crow it would be me and some other Cowboys fans who predicted another blowout (31-6 was my prediction).

I think the bye week worked against us as we really didn't get anyone back from injury except Julius Jones and didn't use him that much anyway. The Boys came out very sluggish and flat and we were lucky to come away with the win IMO but we didn't give up and that showed some depth of character that is nice to see after the lack of it during the Gailey/Campo years.

The Eagles are still a talented team and would be doing a lot better if not for some key injuries, particularly to McNabb. He looked pretty bad on that last series after the INT, hopefully he will be able to come back next week and beat the Giants for us.

PT, I was happy we escaped with that win . . . . I still can't believe how it all turned out.

Please do us a favor and beat up the Giants and Skins later this year! I hope you guys take out your frustations on our rivals.

I don't know if McNabb finishes off this season, but I think if the Eagles can win the next couple of games, he'll probably try to postpone his surgery as long as possible.

It's difficult to respond clearly to what You're saying right now DY. I'm so furious at McNabb right Now, so I don't want to say The wrong thing.

I don't think any of those scenarios matter anymore to Eagles GM. T.O. made some fatal errors. Even if it's ruled that T.O. can Become active again, I don't believe EGM will allow T.O. on the field.

Here"s where I need to be careful ...if McNabb goes in for surgery (and I wish him well), I would fully support Koy Detmer going in and working his way up from the basement. I've always like Detmer and his brother (plays on another team right now). Sure, give Him a shot!

Eagles played like the Champs they are for 50 plus minutes.
They will only go as far as McNabb can take them.
The road to the NFC east title still goes through Philly. :starspin
