Though personally I don’t believe we can beat them, there are formulas out there to do so. And thankfully, the Ravens found this out for us. I posted some videos above.
Dallas should really study these videos. The defensive formations they take, how their offense exploited Garrett and Co. Now, I know what you're all thinking:
"our defense is not capable of doing plays like this" or "we don't play defense like this"
Would it hurt to try? Would it hurt to adapt? Would it hurt to train? That's how the Patriots win. They go in with a different game plan every week to adapt to the other team. Dallas seems allergic to this idea. I don't know how to help this defense. The WR's here aren't as fast as Seattle's so hopefully we won't get as burnt trying to catch up, but still.
Offensively, I know Dak is different from Jackson, as is our O-line. But, again we can try. With more practice and possibly Tyron coming back, I'm sure we can run similar formations and run the same styles.
Dak vs. Jackson. Alrighty. Two very different QB's. Jackson. Fast. Running. Not as great a passer, but his legs are 10x the threat Dak's are. Dak. More like a Russell Wilson lite. Not as great the passer as Wilson, not as much as a threat as he is with his legs, but he's formidable enough in both categories. Here's the thing: Browns secondary isn't great. We need to start out passing. Usually we start with the run, but not here. Pass. Pass. Pass. They will tighten up in the secondary.
Does anyone think they're studying the Ravens gameplan for this or no? Do you think Dallas will be effective against the Browns? Why or why not? Let's keep this discussion light and airy, please.
Bonus question: what do you think the score will be?
