Through 3 games..

Ed Reed - 1 int
Troy Polamalu - 1 int
Sean Taylor - 0 int
Brian Dawkins - 0 int

Through 2 games..

Roy Williams - 2 int

So, basically, Roy through 2 games has the same amount of interceptions of Reed, Polamalu, Taylor, and Dawkins have COMBINED through their 3 games a piece..

Or another way to look at it: Roy has the same amount of interceptions as Reed, Polamalu, Taylor, and Dawkins do through 12 games..

Pete Prisco, shut your stupid mouth.

ummm ok?

What does this have to do with anything?

I watched some of the Eagles game yesterday and Dawkins didn't have any interceptions ( like you said ) but he made critical stops on the goal line a few times and actually caused the fumble, which Patterson ran back 98 yards.

..........and the rest of the safeties are doing very well too.

It's not all about the I.N.T.'s

aaagh! Not another 2 game judgement! lol...

Roy's playing lights out, let's see him keep it up.

Although, if this was mocking a Merriman thread, and I didn't get the joke, I wholeheartedly approve. :)

Why not just make projections based on a quarter of play?

I would hope that you knowing my post history, you would get me.. you of all people.. im hurt..

and actually, I was gonna project it out to quarters (Roy has the same amount of interceptions in 8 quarters as they do in 48 quarters) and even minutes (Roy has same amount in 120 minutes as they do in 720 minutes).. but i thought you guys would get the joke before that..

sarcasm is a lot less funny if you have to explain it..

I think you struck out with this one.

Even I was left

But, as I was typing my initial post, I was like....I bet this ******'s joking. So I included the caveat.

My name is superpunk, and I support the original post, as sarcasm'd.

.

Not only that, Sean Taylor has given up 3 TD's already (gave up 1 TD yesterday to Mark Bruener) and was flagged for 2 penalties in the Minnesota game which pretty much gave the Vikings the opportunity to win the game.

Sean Taylor is an example of a player whose bark is bigger than his bite.

ALL safeties and cornerbacks blow coverages, but Roy has had the media's bullseye on this since last season. I've seen Sean Taylor blow lots of coverages as he sometimes focuses more on leveling someone instead of making the play.

Reed is overrated and living off of a couple of good seasons, the rest are fantastic players.

Yeah, silly leap to make.

Many like to use the argument that INTs don't necessarily make the player when analyzing Newman. Yet, when it comes to Roy for two games, this IS how we grade him?

Roy's playing lights out. The interceptions are a small reflection of that. Nothing more, nothing less.

That is not a fair comparison. Taylor and Dawkins play FS not SS. They should have more INTs. :D

I got the sarcasm in the original post. Do I get a cookie?

Same goes to Andrew Perloff from sports illustrated. Stick those stats in your pipe and toke on that.
