I don't know why any of you are surprised. This team has been playing like this for over a month.
Like me. Yep, you were right. I assumed that this team would probably pull out of it. Just look at my signature. But they didn't.
I still take sort of a moderate look at it though, as disappointing as this loss is. We've got a few important holes to fill and that's about it.
Here's my list of cuts and improvements that would help:
The OL stunk tonight but they don't actually stink. I'd like to see a big LG added that matches the other guys to replace Kosier.
Like a lot of people, I think we need another WR.
Coaches? I'd rather see Garrett as head coach than WP. The penalties are a huge problem as are the special teams. But no baby with the bath water on this.
Sure, Roy could go, we could use another CB but why the hell aren't we getting more pressure when we need it? We've got Ware and Ellis. I think we need an insider linebacker to replace Akin.
And here's one I'll throw out there that's out of the box, probably unpopular. I'm not sold on Ratliff as this fantastic NT. I know the coaches love him, I know that's the CW on Ratliff but I don't see that push up the middle and I don't see the running lanes being clogged up. I would love for us to draft a big old 325 pounder in the middle, Ratliff, Ferguson, and Tank be damned.
