Has any of you ever seen a decline in an athlete from 1 year like Julius this year?? He looked like a young Emmitt last year, now he looks like Emmitt in Arizona. Even yesterday when he had his long run, I thought I was watching Moose Johnston run. I know he may be hurt, but what a disappointment. I was thinking he was going to be at least a 1,500 yard back this year.

I'm not sure that it is an injury. People keep saying that, but I was concerned with him back in training camp and the early part of the year. I just didn't see much vision from him or explosion.

Still don't.

He was so over hyped last year it wasn't even funny. Some of us tried to warn you guys.

Well, as far from seeing anything from last year, he looks like a completely different back. Not as elusive and the "burst" is hardly there. I believe when he bulked up in the offseason, it seems to have slowed him down. Also, not to put any blame on the playcalling, but Julius is not an "in-between the tackles" runner. That is all I have seen him run this year. No draw plays. My 2 cents.

Agree. I think he needs to lose 10 pounds, and next TC, he needs to run to day light like Barber does. I know BP wants you to run a certain way, but since he will be a 3rd year player, he won't have to run into a crowded hole everytime, he can cut back and do some of the things JJohnson allowed Emmitt to do.

BP still has him on a leash. Unless he lets him off of it, there will be no change. He may slim down and get some flexibility and quickness back, but that won't help him as long as BP tried to make him into a grind it out back. JJ's strength WAS his quickness and willingness to cutback and take chances when there was no hole where it was supposed to be. He is not doing that this year- and it must be on BP's orders.
