Regarding the Broncos whining...

I seem to remember Coach Phillips saying last week that he didn't like to hide everything he had in preseason, and he would blitz, etc. He said that he wouldn't use packages that they didn't want the Giants to see since we play them week 1, but that he didn't believe in just playing pure vanilla in preseason.

Besides, considering the Broncos are a NFL team, I would think they would realize that we are learning a new version of our defense and the preseason happens to be a pretty good time to practice some of these stunts and blitzes so our guys know what they're doing when the regular season gets here.

This whining just gets under my skin so badly. I mean, we even practiced with them this freaking week, so i'm sure they saw some blitzes then. /waaaah

For the record, Philly, Washington, and NY Giants have blitzed/stunted alot in their preseason games.

Yes-I agree we all need to be more "vanilla" in preseason-but we need to PRACTICE these schemes at the same time.

I mean, really-just look at the Iowa Straw Poll-yeah, this poll is nothing but a joke, but all of the candidates nonetheless take it seriously like they would any other election.

What's the big deal? I recall us getting blitzed in preseason the past couple of years. We'd always have to make excuses about how our Oline hadn't really faced stunts, loops, and blitzes. Then we'd hear about how the oline would work on picking up blitzes all week long in practice.

Sure do. We do some blitzing just like some other teams did in preseason and the Broncos whine about it. Their media also using the excuse about the heat. Sure don't see their media crediting their mile high advantage when they win so much against other teams who can't adjust to that attitude. I expected better of a Shanahan team cause thought they had some class. Obviously they don't. Lynch is a real disappoint in that area cause I like them as a Buc player. He's good off the field type of player who helped out in the community and didn't whine then. Must be the water.

You guys really think that hiding something in the preseason on defense is really going to work either postivily or negativly in the reg season? I disagree on that. I can see if your a new coach like the one in Pittsburgh but when you have a track record of 25 plus years in the league like Wade does, I think there will be some sort of dossier on what that guy wants to run. You might as well practice it.

Yet the Broncos don't want to discuss why their front defensive 7 got absolutely dominated in the 1st half of the game (actually, pretty much the entire game).

We had about 190 yards rushing on them.

Why doesn't Lynch discuss that? He is a defensive player, afterall.

And as for Ekuban's injury, that had nothing to do with our blizting.
