Reggie Wayne's stint with the Patriots was short-lived.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Wayne signed with the Patriots to help bolster their passing attack, but the six-time Pro Bowler stated Saturday that he asked for his release because the team was "not fun," according to NBC Sports.

Wayne went on to say the “work environment was tough" at Patriots camp. The 36-year-old likely Hall of Famer is at the stage in his career where he can decide whether it's worth playing, and he obviously saw something he didn't like in New England. Now the decision is whether to retire.

Wayne played his entire career in Indy. So he was probably a well liked and respected voice in the organization. Maybe he just didn't gel with the locker room or teammates on the field. That would certainly not be fun for a formerly revered member of a championship caliber team.

He isn't the first veteran FA to not like how they operate. Doesn't mean he's a loser, doesn't mean the team's mentality is wrong(besides the cheating). He just didn't gel there, and he's not a good fit. Good for him to realize this now, and move on to potentially be productive somewhere else, than to stick around and never pan out like Chad Johnson did.

I would like to hear what the more elaborated thought on this is.

Football should without a doubt be fun, and if it's not then why the hell would you ever bother doing it?

But if it's just not fun because they just work to hard that's silly.

Although I guess at 36 and already having a ring you can afford to be even more picky in situations like those.
