Here is what I would love to happen the remainder of the off-season

Free Agency
1. Sign M. Claiborne (CB) Although it would not hurt me if this does not happen.
2. Sign T. McDonald (S)
3. Trade for S. Richardson (DT)
4. Sign Jonathan Cooper (G/C)

Draft
1. Tim Williams or C. Harris (DE) I prefer Williams but I understand the issues that comes with him.
2. Fabian Monreau(CB)
3. Josh Jones (S)
4. Jake Butt (TE) He's injured so maybe he will last until the 4th.
6. Dede Westbrook (WR) I realize he's probably gone by now but hey its wishful thinking.
The remaining of the draft I really don't care just get speed and a developmental offensive takle.

I think you know that a trade for Richardson isn't going to happen. Williams probably won't be on the Cowboys final draft board. Westbrook is wishiful thinking. The rest is possible.

I would be a little concerned about the tight end Jake butt and his injury history.
Two torn acl's on the same knee.......
Course we do love to draft those injured players that drop into a "steal ".

Have to think a little out of the box for Dallas so this is a bit of a different approach.

Resign Jonathan Cooper OG - if and only if they believe that they can turn him around
Resign Darren McFadden RB - then we release Morris
Sign either Josh McCown or Chase Daniels QBs as the backup
Sign RFA Patriots OT Cameron Fleming - started this past year at LT and RT and did well, original tender was 4th round pick, nice upside and could start right away at RT and only 24 years old, a starter for a 4th round is a good trade off
Sign Dolphins CB/S Michael Thomas - original tender is as an UDFA, only 26, played sparingly with Miami although was good not great
Sign RFA Ethan Westbrooks DE - has a domestic charge but latest is that it might be more of a he said/she said, Rams put original tender on him and since he was an UDFA, Dallas would not have to give up a pick if the Rams don't match

and/or

Sign Giants DE Kerry Wynn - Giants signed him as an UDFA, only 26, appears to have a nice upside

As to the draft, stick with McClay and the draft board and take the best player available according to the draft board they set up not any online draft analysis. This allows Dallas not to reach and upgrade any position.

Michael Thomas isn't that good as a defensive back. Say he's below average.
Good special teams player, but that's it.
Only reason why he played on defense a lot last year was cause Jones and AQA when down with season ending injuries.

As for the OPs list. Would be nice to grab McDonald on a 1 year deal. Can't see us going after Richardson though.

I have a question. Why are so many relying on Jonathan Cooper as the answer to Free retiring? He was traded then released by 2 oline needy teams in the same year. Which poster on here convinced y'all that hes the answer? or are you looking at his college scouting report from 2013 and still hoping he is that player?

Why do people want to insist on trading for Richardson. It's almost like that rumor thing that gets started in school. Once it is mentioned, it spreads and most repeat it.

No to Harris, we do not another lightweight speed rusher that almost gets there....and he is supposed to be fast, but wasn't he slow at the combine.
No to Jake Butt....so do you want to go into TC with Witten, another year old, and 3 TE's rehabbing from injuries, and a PS TE type.

I am in on Mo, McDonald, Cooper.
I don't know enough about the rest of the drafted guys yet to comment.

How in the world did you conclude that I think we'll fill every need in the draft?

I agree. They want to move an All Pro guard to RT because they think he can at least be better then Doug Free. you can't help but shake your head. Especially when we are a running team. We run between the tackles and to be successful at that you need run blocking monsters on the interior. Not an above average pass blocker out at RT.
