I think Miles Austin will step in fine, I remember the Green Bay Game with his speed. I Think Roy Williams will draw the doubles and Miles will beat teams deep. We just need him to stay healthy

RW will not draw Double teams..........if anything Witten might draw a little double coverage, which would hamper Romo big time.

Who drew the double teams on the super bowl champion Steelers?
Heinz Ward? Boy he's a deep threat. We'll be alright.

Miles biggest contribution to the Packers game were two long PI calls, you make it sound like he had 150 yards and 3 TD's or something. Over his career he's got less than 20 catches. Let the guy earn the spot.

We need a WR regardless, right now we only have 4 and one of them was a QB like two years ago.

Hey PI calls are just as good, they are normally a reflection of getting beat by speed

He had 115 yards and a TD.

You're referencing the '07 game.

Who did the Patriots have before Randy Moss, Nobody
With Randy Moss they didn't win the big one

I am not saying TO was a great talent, but I think he became a detrament to the team, and forcing a QB to look one direction first makes it hard to scan the entire field.

I think it's pretty clear Moss made them a much better team. Did they go 19-0? No, but that's not because they weren't a better team than they were the year before.

The two long PI calls were great plays on Austin's part. The guy can get behind a defense. That's all we really need with Witten, Bennett, and our running backs. We just can't afford to lose Austin or our WR corps becomes pretty one-dimensional.

True, a fast reciever out of the draft or FA would be good, But I still believe that Miles has what it takes and we will not miss TO

Funny you say that about Heinz Ward. I see him all the time up here in AFC North Land. Dude is a warrior, just not a deep threat any more. Great hands, gets open, tough, blocks...Dial him up on 3rd down. I'd take Ward on a straight up trade for T O at this point in their careers.

Yeah, odd, I don't even remember playing the Packers last year.

Thats if he isn't signed away from the Cowboys.

Roy does draw double teams. He is a big time deep threat. His biggest issues is staying healthy and actually running the route correctly so the QB knows where to throw the ball.

He is a bum when it comes to running routes. I liken him to Plaxico in what type of receiver he is though. All you have to do is put the ball close to him and he can grab it.

Austin could be Gregg Jennings waiting to happen. Tony Romo sure thought the guy had what it took to break out last year.

I like RW, Crayton and Hurd, too. They just don't have the speed to make teams worry about a WR getting behind the defense. I imagine we fill TOs position with a speed WR somewhere in the draft. I guess there's always the chance the light goes on for Stanback, too.

Huh.

So he got consistently open.

Yet, the numbers say he didn't.

So either you are lying. Or Romo did a poor job of getting Austin the ball.

Woohoo!

Championship, here we come!
