Thank you Steven Hassan, not that that has anything to do with remembering and paying respect to those that made the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of the United States of America....Freedom is in the mind...it all starts in the mind!....(Whether a country or an Individual,) If you lose your mind!...You lose your Freedom!...Simple as that!...TDM...

Nice Post. Thanks. In remembrance to those that have fallen, I've collected a few pics in honor of them. I thank all those that have served and gave their lives, we deeply appreciate and owe you.
Freedom that only exist in the mind is not freedom at all. Thinking about it is not enough to get it, wanting it is not enough to get it, and even getting your freedom is not enough to keep it because there will always exist men that want to take it away from you. To achieve long lasting true freedom, requires like minded men brave enough to pay the ultimate price to secure it. This is what gives us the phrase, "freedom is not free". And this is why those enjoying that freedom today should never take it for granted and appreciate that freedom. Furthermore, it is far easier to keep freedom away from people that have never had it than it is to take freedom away from people that have never lived without it. For that reason, I do not worry about Americans losing their freedom... while there are large segments of American society that don't appreciate what it took to acquire that freedom, there are far more that do understand the price for freedom and will continue to answer the countries call to defend it. Yet another reason I believe the nations veterans are owed a far bigger debt than they actually receive.Maybe I didn't express my thought accurately!
...It's really not a separate issue....in another post I paid respects to our fallen heroes!... ... but for those who remain, it kind of goes back to the "Founding Fathers.".. These men had to "want", had to "desire" freedom!... It was always on their mind!...When remaining free is no longer on the peoples mind, when freedom is no longer on the American wish list!...eventually Freedom will be lost!....In other words...Freedom starts in the mind...You have to want it to acquire it and keep it!...anyway...

.......
You don't understand!...and the posters that agree with you don't either!...I never said a dang thing about Freedom "only" in the mind!.....My main point was always, that we can lose our freedoms...People will always die for their countries, whether they have freedoms or not...look around the world! You seem to want to argue that losing freedom "can't or "won't" happen here!....Poppycock!....It's been happening for decades, and it's happening in the present!...
One of my biggest fears has always been ...that this generation gives up their rights and freedoms.... and the gallant heroes of the past die in vain!....The only way to keep that from happening is to keep freedom alive in the mind first!...without that...brave hearts have nothing to follow!....I'm threw posting to you now!.
You seem to want to take what I say in different directions...after you take a few classes in "critical thinking." maybe we'll chat again!
