Deion Sanders and Bruce Smith. What a year that was for Cowboy's fans.:lmao2:

One thing that all Commanders fans will believe is that things will be different this time with JOE GIBBS as their coach.

The number one problem with free agency is most of these guys are looking for the big buck. Once they get the $$$ they could careless about Team chemistry. Gibbs is definitely not a chemist, if he were a team building chemist he would be working for the YANKEES!

On paper things look good for the Skins this year. But who coined the phrase "you build a team from the draft." Free agency is great if you need 1-2 maybe 3 players not 5-10.

Jerry, is a smart business man. He made the mistake of given up the Cowboy's draft pick's for players like Joey Galloway. Then slowly remembered the right way to build a championship team ie....... the early 90's(using the draft).

When the Cowboys win their next Superbowl, you might as well reserve the Lombardi Trophy for a few years because this team will be stacked with young talent. Just like the early 90's.:star:

I could agree with this, but all the T.O. to Dallas rumors really contrast this post.

Why shouldnt we believe things will be different this time around with Joe Gibbs and oh yeah Al Saunders and Greg Williams??? You're right Gibbs is not a chemist, hes a football coach and a great one at that. I guess only time will tell my friend.

Snyder is still young dont forget it and hes finally got the coach hes wanted for as long as hes been our owner. As for Gibbs being a caretaker now..i mean i agree hes not gonna be as hands on as before but hes still the Head Coach. He will make the final decisons on everything.

I used to believe Gibbs was a Great coach too. Until I saw the real Joe Gibbs Stand up this year. Hell, the striped shirts lost every game for the Skins if you listen to him.

He mastered the art of crying without shedding tears.

Gimme a break. Even if agreed with you...you think that strips him of his hall of fame status??

Jerry had 3 titles in his first 7-8 years owning the team. The woners age doesnt matter

So you think Gibbs will be telling Williams what to do on D or Saunders what to do on Offense? and if he is getting final say is that what you really want?

He has molded a wrecked team into a group with character and pride. Sure, there are a few strayers, but a handful of the current squad voluntarily restructured their contracts to help the team. It was reported as well the bit that pushed Randel-El to sign with the skins was that Gibbs asked to speak with his wife; it really moved him. This team's got chemistry, alright. We've got a young offense, too. (assuming Campbell will take charge eventually)

RE: Restructures. Sure all these guy restructured to "help the team" becase NONE of them was losing a cent of money. They restructured their base salaries into signing bonus and spread it out. All the restructures did was give them their pay up front. they gave nothing up.

As for Randle El I think Skins offering 12 mill more than his best offer had more to do with it than talking to his wife lol

Alright well give Snyder those 7-8 years with the coaching staff he assembled and then maybe we can compare.

Gibbs will be making the decisons on matters such as when to go for it on 4th down, time management and who gets cut and who doesnt. Those are all pretty important things to decide dont you think?? Why would I not want Gibbs to have the final say...is he not the head coach?

Randle-who?? This idiot will soon learn that he made the biggest mistake of his career.

Pittsburgh used this guy in ways that no other team would think of. And his numbers were still average at best.

Play for a defending SB Champion or go to Washington?? A college dropout should be able to figure this one out.

Snyder could have had 7-8 years with any coach problem was he keeps firing them

So then you agree Gibbs will have no say in calling the game on D or O? Those are things head coaches do. Caretakers decide when to go on 4th and keep track of time situations

I dont think you will be seeing Snyder firing anyone soon.

Its already been reported that Gibbs and Saunders will work together on offense for gameplans. I'm not gonna list every single thing Gibbs will do for the team. Gibbs leaves the D for Greg Williams which is the smart thing to do when you do have greg williams as your def. coordinator (or assistant head coach). A lot of Head coaches leave the D up do their def. coordinator...hell even Bill does it.

Snyder won't be firing Gibbs no. But a couple firends of mine who are Skins fans think this is Gibbs gearing for a final run and next season Williams takes over for good.

LOL Zimmer does not have final say over our D I wish he did.

Hey burritopunk, can I speak to your wife? How does that move you? Obviously you have never been involved in a business transaction.

If I was an owner I would kiss your dogs hind end if I felt you were worth it.
I just think its funny that Gibbs is wanting to talk to Randle-Els wife.

Pucker up Mr. Gibbs there are plenty of below average players out there looking to be kissed.

BigD...I have some friends that think that also, but i also have some friends that whink he will stay for the full 5 years he signed for and then turn it over to Williams, hell maybe even Saunders, although unlikely.

Lets just leave at that both of our teams will be highly competitive next season especially after you guys sign TO on weds. We still have to address our LB situation just like you guys have to address your O line. Dont expect anymore high profile free agents to be coming to do DC though haha.
