This whole Romo switch got me thinking about my visit to training camp this year...
The one thought that I can't seem to get out of my head is that whenever Romo was on the field for the 11 on 11 period, the team seemed to move more smoothly down the field and Romo seemed a little more free and decisive with the ball.
When Drew would come in, each play would take a little longer.. there would be less throws downfield and it almost felt forced. There would be more bad play, bad play, good play scenarios and a few more 3 and outs.
I always kind of chalked it up to the defenses that they were playing against, but thinking about it now makes me feel like that we may start seeing that type of change... from forced to smooth.. I will say that Romo did love the TE's and used them very well when the outside guys were not open. I'm interested to see how this turns out.
