Hey guys, uh, I don't know how to break it to you but the Cowboys crushed the Titans by 31 points today. Just thought you might like to know...

who can remember the score all I remember is vanderjagt missed one wide right and demarcus ware didn't have a million sacks, and some old guy that we should have cut last year made an interception that was ultimately meaningless...

think I hit all the negatives, oh wait did you see how gurode tried to break that guys foot with his head? what was he thinking

You forgot that Bledsoe threw an interception, TO dropped a TD pass, and the offense had 5 or 6 penalties. There, we've done the work of the Gnashers and Wailers for them.

What you oh-so-witty people fail to realize that if we do some of these things against a top tier team (not the lowly Titans) we will lose.

possibly but i think its more likely we would play a much closer game than what we had to play today. one turnover in a game is prety good nowadays.

I disagree completely. We can afford to do "some" of these things against anybody. We didn't actually make that many mistakes. Seriously. They did make some bonehead, glaring mistakes that if increased will certainly be a problem. You're not seeing the forest for the tree stumps, that's all.

Maybe it's just the Gurode thing, or maybe that the Skins won (which always takes the glow off a victory for me), but this win was kinda unsatisfying.

Sure. The score was fine, but nothing really wonderful happened.

I liked Terry's two TDs well enough, but they were only 13 yarders, and only middling displays of footwork and control.

I want bigger and better highlights. A kickoff or punt returned for a TD.

Sure TO played valiantly, and looked conditioned and aware. But his bandaged hand prevented serious fireworks.

Nice day for JJ, with some nice off tackle runs, and that long reception was cool. But still...vaguely dissatisfying.

And on D...want picks, want Ware to be a force, want more than just two bone crunching #31 hits. Sacks, pressures, batted balls.

The Titans just suck too much to feel very good tonight.:banghead:

On the flip side Fisher lost at home by 31 and one of his high draft picks became a candidate for jerk of the year.

It could always be worse.

Yeah, that would thrill me to high heavens if I didn't want him to be the next coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

I sure don't mind seeing Fisher's team manhandled. (and Jeff's been salary cap strangled for a few years now - his lustre isn't going to tarnish off another sucky year).

But I will get much more pleasure out of seeing Reid's team shellacked.

In the end, Dallas did what they should of done against a team like Tenn.
But, better teams would of continued to build momentum after Vandy's missed FG. See JAX in week 1 after Suisham's missed FG.
And better teams don't have a to play a rookie QB who just isn't effective at this stage of his career.
I would of been more comfortable if Dallas had looked more convincing by half time. 14-6 after 2 quarters against a team the caliber of the Titans isn't much to get excited about.

yeah, I'd have to say it was a mixed bag. The 'Boys soundly beat a team they should have soundly beaten,,, +1 for beating the teams they're supposed to beat,,, but Vanderklank brought back that little black cloud of doubt that has followed our kickers since I can remember, that tainted the win for me.

Still, the offense continues to look better and if/when T.O. gets in sync, this offense will be formidable!! :crossed:

Don't take this the wrong way, guys, but if you can't enjoy, I mean downright enjoy, when your team thumps somebody 45-14 then what's the damn purpose of watching? Are you waiting for the Divine Aura of Perfection until you can kick back, say what the heck and grin for two seconds?

For cryin out loud, the final score was 45-14. What would have excited you a first half like the second? Would 62-14 excite you?

You can always find things that we "didn't do well enough." That's how BP keeps the guys focused. But as fans, I don't see any reason to be unhappy. I got news for you guys, we're NEVER going to play a perfect game. This game was about as good as it gets. Especially this early in the season. I guess the general negativity towards this team from the local media has clouded your assessments.

How many times have we played down to the competition?

We did what we were supposed to do and looked pretty darn good doing it.

The sky will remain above for another week.

I agree. Nobody remembers that the skins and eagles struggled with the texans to begin their game but u dont see their fans saying "we shouldve did much better"

We looked good for most of the game besides both teams first drives. But I expected a win today. I got over the game after 10 minutes.

If we beat Philly Ill be pumped for at least an hour.

But I hate the losses way more than I enjoy the wins

Get excited when Dallas turns in a complete, dominating performance against a good team instead of of one the bottom 5 in the league.
Otherwise, you may just be disappointed by the time the season ends.
