I haven't had coffee yet so the article wasn't clear, but is this Cutler and #7 for #2? This may actually be better for both teams..Chicago gets Mariota and gets rid of Cutler and Tennessee gets a QB who is better than Locker and Fitzpatrick and can focus on an Oline choice.

That would be a huge gamble by Tennessee, but Cutler is a typical Whisenhunt QB so I can see that being a real discussion.

I would not do that, were I Tennessee. Cutler is not worth the 1st round pick but it's an interesting offer. Tennessee is really talented, outside of QB. With the 7th pick, they can still add an impact player and have a Vet QB to boot. The contract is big and even though Cutler is as talented as any QB in the NFL, I don't trust him. I'd rather keep the pick and take my future QB in Mariota. JMO

Cutler is Jeff George 2.0

It's a little insulting to Jeff George.
It's a little insulting to Jay Cutler.

This has been a rumor for months in Chicago. I doubt it happens.

This rumor is a Chicago fans pipe dream that started as the season was ending due to his ties with Tennessee.

There is no way that trade improves Tennessee. Cutler is an overpriced loser. If the Bears could somehow place him on irrevocable waivers baseball style, where any team could just take him for free (but they also have to take on his contract) no one would pick him up.
