If some of our "rushmen" turn out as I'm hoping they might, perhaps a top 5 or 10 won't be necessary. Rather than having one or two killer "rushmen," oftentimes having three or four good-uns affords a team enough pressure to give a consistent level of pressure to thwart the opposition. In any event, this team will run its course this year and whatever comes of their results, here's hoping a quick twitch DE somehow comes our way.

lol it is not 1992 anymore.
quick twitch daddies dont come easily.

we have irving who is interesting but inconsistent.
we can hope on tapper whose back issue make him a bigger question mark.
we can hope that taco is spicy and not soft.
the others like paea and thornton are jag to me.
tcrawford's shoulders make him a possible cut in 2018.
and i just saw birddog23 hating on dlaw on twitter.

may be jaylon can do it all for us.
to me he is our best chance for a good rde for passing downs.

If you get enough "almost-quick twitchers" it will suffice, at times. With better CBs and safeties on the back end, they'll get more time to arrive at their destination. Making QBs uncomfortable and breaking their spirit can be just as effective as breaking their bones oftentimes. We'll see. The Cowboys aren't likely to get a top 5 or 10 pick, to be realistic here.

trying to get to the SB - surely you jest.
now brady will no longer be a problem as he just made the Madden cover.

i dont know.
these cb pieces seemed like they were picked because they fit the zone schemes better.
they tackle well and catch the ball better for our bend but dont break?
i dont see any shutdown corners here.
you know what they say about giving a top QB time against a zone defense.

the last thing we need to do almost get there.
worse draft pick and no super bowl.

If the FO thought highly enough of Harris they would have got him. JJ has shown that he has no problem pulling the trigger on draft day. I see this as nothing more than a look-see and I'm sure many calls were made to other teams.

You might as well forget about getting "war daddies" with the way the Cowboys operate. They don't cater to tanking any more than I do. This team will do well to improve gradually, with several better rushers and with better coverage, than to find a quick-twitch DE. Jaylon will likely have what it takes, along with Tapper and Maliek if they're healthy. Every now and then, we might even be so fortunate as to see Taco making life miserable for some poor QB that he lands squarely on top of. It could happen.

I'm hoping for your sake and that of mine as well that that's the way it goes. I don't foresee us tanking nor do I see early picks coming our way anytime soon. Dak will make it so and so will Zeke. I really want you to be happy . . . believe me -- that way we won't be getting carpel tunnel syndrome making these endless posts. -- LOL. In the meantime, please find a way to remain patiently optimistic, OK? It'll get better eventually, I promise.

possible ways to get a daddy:
1. take an injured one though jaylon may have been too shiny an example for other teams
2. trade a 2nd for a 1st next year - but we did not do it this year (or there was no opportunity).
3. trade down from a 1st and get a 2nd plus a 1st next year
4. change the pot policy by getting compromising pictures of mara and craft by having a few of jerry's young female friends utilize their charms.
5. sign a free agent if one becomes available. we certainly have enough cap $.
6. tanking
7. injury (god forbid).

you will thank me for a topic to talk about next week for the next month...

i am starting to question who is in charge.
jerry clearly talked about getting a daddy.
then in their press conference after round 1, jerry ducked the question and stephen took it.

How have the Patriots obtained all of these "War Daddies" over the years?

They traded Chandler Jones to AZ.
