I don't understand why this is leaking now. Someone wants to make sure Randle never gets a job in the NFL again it seems(if he had a shot anyways)

And the hits keep on coming. This should finally put to rest the RKG rhetoric that some lapped up like gospel.

Doing dumb off the field stuff that keeps you from contributing on the field is the very definition of a Wrong King of Guy. Yet there are several WKG that have infiltrated Garrett's roster.

“But it's been talked about a lot. And as to a player on the roster, I wanted to be real clear that as far as we operate, I'm not going to put a player on this roster that Jason doesn't want on the roster. That's it.”

NFL can give a lot of second chances but if Randle was involved with gambling of NFL games they he can hang it up much like Pete Rose and baseball

And yet, somehow, this was the guy we chose to replace the league's leading rusher?

Say whatever you want pro or con about keeping Murray, that's irrelevant to the fact that the Cowboys front office and coaches believed that this was the guy to replace him.

some were questioning that decision. Others said there was no reason to worry and that pepole on that side of the argument were just being negative/crazy/outdated. Some even posted stats of Randles YPC in previous years....

im not the kind of guy to say "I told ya so". "I was right , I called it, $#%#$% it"...... its not socially acceptable to do such things.

but.

"I told ya so". "I was right , I called it, $#%#$% it"

And yet we'll still read comments like "The Cowboys have a long established history of success when dealing with troubled players."

They've had a lot of practice at it, but the success rate here is no better than anywhere else.

If he would have bet against the Cowboys this season....................he would be a wealthy man today.

All joking aside, it does sound like the dude has some severe mental problems.........either bipolar or schitzophrenia.

I agree w/your sentiment but think about it:
Numerous NFL owners have started huge NFL gambling websites poised to rank in hundreds of millions of dollars. They are encouraging gambling on the sport... soliciting it.

I'm not hardcore against gambling...but I'm hardcore against the league promoting it....engaging in it. It breeds corruption in all kinds of ways...and takes advantage of lots of fans who have no self-control

And people wonder why the rules are all murky now and why the officiating is so off-the-charts bad. Connect the dots. The league has become sleazy city.

Talk about greasy:

LOL.

The guy is clearly a screw up. I don't need evidence from the DMN on his gambling issues to know that Joseph Randle is a guy with a ten cent head and a total loser.

Do you understand the severity of betting on sports while you play them professionally? These allegations can end a career, and the only evidence DMN is hearsay. There is no accountability on the media's side. If you make such a damning report on an individual, then you better have some good evidence to back it up. A "source" doesn't cut it.

Right now, you could tell me Randle paints himself purple and barks at the full moon and I would believe it.

The man has got to be one of stupidest individuals to have ever worn a Dallas uniform.

He's definitely a bonehead. Possibly has a mental disorder, but I hate these type of reports.

Wasn't to replace him. They felt they could get by with a running back by committee. Randle was never going to get as many carries as Murray did. Randle wasn't a bad back. They felt he was more durable than McFadden. Randles problems is what's going on in his hand.

If Randal's problem is mental, is counseling or medicine the way to solve it?

Or is it unfixable?

My minor at UT was Psychology, and I remember reading about lithium in one of my classes.

If Randle is bipolar or schizophrenic, then lithium could be prescribed...........bad side affect is that you sleep like 18 hours a day, so not sure how that would work for a professional athlete.

Anyways, I am not trying to prescribe any medicine here or claiming to be an expert on mental disorders, this story just jogged my memory from college.

Well if you watch the movie "concussion" the players who had "CTE" acted like Randle is acting.
It causes delusional behavior and other things including violence.

Randle has some type of mental problem, so it isnt too classy to make fun of him or just say he is dumb.
He needs to be institutionalized and examined, then maybe he could be helped.

he would have to be examined, and tests run, but he is refusing any requests to do that, someone needs to force it on him
as it will only get worse.
If he has CTE there is no cure.
He needs help but evidently no one cares enough.

Um, the "source" is Jerry Jones. He is the one who said that that all became apparent at the time they released him, but that there was no evidence he gambled on NFL games.

I'd call a direct, on the record quote from Jerry Jones to be a bit more valid than "hearsay."

And you base that on what?

Underwood and Spellman didn't melt down after being found on the streets of Chicago delusional.
Deion minded his manners.
TO melted down a bit but not as hard as at Philly and SF and that was mostly in the aftermath after he was let go.
Pacman started the road of turning his career around here altercation with Wells or not.
Tank Johnson had no issues.
Willie Blade was a weirdo and didn't do anything.
Haley was kept under wraps.
For all of what the media portrayed him as Hardy never made the police blotter.
Dez has grown up in front of our eyes.
Randy Gregory seems focused and committed.

Sure you have Brent and Randle but compare the track record of success despite all the risk taking and all the things we see going around the league elsewhere and I find I like Drew Hill's program.
