I know it's easy on this board to rag on this kid for a wasted opportunity given his physical gifts, and on our staff for trusting him as the starting RB, but it sounds more and more like he has some real mental issues (bipolar, paranoia, etc) that didn't come to the surface until the recent past.

I am far from a mental health professional, but he seems like someone who needs real support and it's going beyond a football story. I hope someone who is close to him gets this kid some help before he's a lost cause as a human.

I would be interested in what his parents have to say.

I think you make a good point however there is a difference at least in my mind of investing in websites that promote gambling and a player, coach or owner actually gambling on the games themselves.

I think what Jerry is doing is 1,000 times worse than anything Randle did.

Sorry, but these people were around him all the time. Often times, more than his family. If you think that Randle "hid his issues well", we'll agree to disagree. His issues cropped up well before Murray left town.

The writing was on the wall and this staff chose to ignore it and once again hoped an issue worked out.

And I look at things as 'accountability' rather than blame. If something goes wrong, someone should be held accountable. They're not running a charity.

There is a difference of betting on games as opposed to an investment into some online betting service. Such as Vegas wins no matter what the outcome, an individual athlete betting on games is a lot different. Sorry you don't see that. Jerry is not betting on games
