Report: Second Witness Points to Harrison

The Philadelphia district attorney who decided last week against charging Marvin Harrison in connection with an April 29 shooting that left three people wounded did so despite being in possession of a statement from a second victim who claimed he saw the Indianapolis Colts wide receiver gripping a gun during the altercation, a law enforcement source told ESPN The Magazine.

The statement by Robert Nixon would apparently corroborate the statement of Dwight Dixon, another shooting victim, and contradict Harrison, who admits that he was in a fistfight with Dixon but insists he was unarmed when gunfire erupted outside his North Philadelphia car wash, Chuckie's Garage, following the altercation.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said league officials were "following developments in the case," but added that given the district attorney's decision to not file charges there is "no basis for any disciplinary action." The Colts had no comment.

The DA said they didn't plan to prosecute, I guess because no one actually got hit with any bullets. It's okay to shot at someone, as long as you don't actually hit them.

You know that reminds me...

A friend of mine had a jewelry store .... got robbed about 3 times in 20 years.


The 3rd time had had good surveillance and the camera's caught the guys on video. They were dressed as cops.

The police basically told him... we will look into it.... they let him know that because no one was injured or killed that the case was less severe and would get less investigation.

He closed the shop a year or two later.

A friend of mine had a jewelry store .... got robbed about 3 times in 20 years.


The 3rd time had had good surveillance and the camera's caught the guys on video. They were dressed as cops.

The police basically told him... we will look into it.... they let him know that because no one was injured or killed that the case was less severe and would get less investigation.

He closed the shop a year or two later.

That's pretty much the main function of police, to clean up after the mess. I've had the need to call the police on a few occasions and only on one occasion (when we showed up to our empty house were selling and the door looked like it had been forced open) did they seem at all concerned about the situation. They actually swept the house, guns drawn, before allowing us to go back in.

Every other time they've shown up, they act like they are doing you a favor by taking time out of their day to respond to a situation.
