I'm surprised that there are no threads on the resurgence of the NFC East. Granted, I hate our divisional opponents more than other teams, but I always root for them against the rest of the league so that we can be the champions of the best division in football. Let's hope that the NFC East will once again establish itself as the standard for the whole league as it was in the 80's and early 90's.

Right now its still the AFC South, but we're definately giving the whole league a run for their money. 3 playoff teams and the only team without a winning record finishes at .500?? Sounds tough to me. Tho, I wouldnt mind being in Seattle or Tampa's shoes. All you got to do to win those weak arse divisions is show up.

I like when the division is strong, for the competition it brings, but no way I can do anything except hate the Giants. I tried once or twice... but there is no way in hell I could root for the them. Even if Dallas were 1-15 and no where near the playoffs.

This is the second consecutive year that both Wildcard teams in the NFC came from the East. Not bad.

But I'm not sure how much that says about an NFC East resurgence as it does that the other three divisions just stink.

But back in the day we knew that we couldn't be stopped once won the division because it made us mentally and physically tougher than teams from weaker divisions who might have a better record.

Exactly. But you'll still get a team like Washington who's battle tested and gets handled by a weak schedule Seattle. Granted, they play at home like the Patriots, but still.

Suisham's missed field goal profoundly changed the momentum of that game. That goes in and we're looking at an opportunity to avenge ourselves for the debacle of the last game of the season.

Any of the teams in the East would have won the NFC South or West. Hell, if Philly was in the South, they very well might have gotten a bye.

There's no guarantee they win the game cause they have the lead. 17-13 with as much time on the clock as there was doesnt send them to Texas Stadium.
