I LOVE the fact he is an INT machine and that is something we really need IMO, but I watched the game last night and he was absolutely pathetic in run support. The worst part about it was that it wasn't technique or anything like that, it was 100% effort. There was a TD run in the 2nd quarter where he comes up and gives the faintest, powder puff shoulder tap to the blocker and allows the RB to run right past him for the TD. Pathetic. IMO, it speaks volumes to the guy's heart and attitude, in that he doesn't have any heart and probably a bad 'rude.

Besides, I feel confident the FO and coaching staff is committed to Church and Wilcox, which isn't going to ever be mistaken for Everson Walls and Darren Woodson back there but they also haven't been giving up huge plays. Wilcox has even made a few good, big ones on occasion.

Holliman came out aggressive last night, probably in an attempt to silence critics. He came up and popped Nick Chubbs in the 1st half , was shook up (Chubbs is a beast), and had to leave the game. He came back in and was tentative from that point on.

He is what he is, a centerfielder who plays deep coverage and has great instincts. I'd still take him.

That being said, there is some really intriguing free safety prospects in 2016. I wouldn't reach for Holliman this draft, despite free safety being a need IMO.

Jalen Ramsey, Florida State

Max Redfield, Notre Dame

Su'a Cravens, USC (may be more suited for strong safety but extremely athletic)

Yeah holliman is terrible in tackling. Not physical at all.

I don't think we will look safety early this year. The coaches like Church and Wilcox and Wilcox has been coming on this year.

I think we go CB. Maybe 2 even. Get a guy to play the outside and the slot.

My favs CBS are
Alex carter
Quinton Rollins
D 'Joun Smith
Lorenzo Doss( can play both nickel and outside I think should start as the nickel)

I really don't like him honestly. He's a flat out liability in the run game, and as the OP said, he doesn't appear interested in getting better. His play is very "soft" in my eyes.

Did you guys watch the 1st quarter last night? He was flying around.

I get that is only one quarter but I don't get the "not interested in getting better" talk. Also, a lot to be found out in the draft evaluation process...Combine, interviews, workouts, Pro Days. The scouts will find out if he's legit or not.

Redfield had a very bad year this year for Notre Dame. Very poor tackling season, and very late reacting on deep routes. He's still young, and has a lot of physical talent, but he is nowhere near ready for prime time.
