I'm never for trading picks for a player pushing 30 with a bloated salary, especially premier picks but....

To have his attitude and leadership on our defense is worth a lot, in my opinion. He brings nastiness though it's from the corner position...right now we have Sean Lee as a leader which is great but he's a boyscout. We need some more attitude that guys look up to and feed off of.

I wonder if we can restructure Romo's contract so it could make him tradable. Hopefully we can get a first for him and then we could package up that first and our third for Sherman. Yes, I would do that all day

He's not tradeable because teams know we will release him. A team in need of a star QB would have no issue with paying Romo a scant 14 mill this year. They take on no guaranteed money.

Romo's contract has nothing to do with his tradeability.

I would, however, like some of whatever drug you are taking that makes you believe a first for Romo is at all possible.

I don't think Seattle would entertain trading him if his production warrants his salary. In Mickey speak if he's so good why is he available?

Also, he's an incredibly smart player. He's not getting by on pure physical talent that will erode as he ages. He's often in the receiver's pocket because he's studied them and can quickly process that information on the field.

I would want his production, but I wouldn't want the rest of what he is. Usually I can grow to like players I used to hate once they become Cowboys. With him, probably not. He is so pompous and arrogant.

Pompous and arrogant? I see an incredibly intelligent and well-educated African American man who speaks his mind. I guess people respond in different ways to that.

I'd do a 2nd in a heartbeat. He's worth a 1st but I don't think Dallas is a CB away. They've got too many holes on D to fill....

Dallas is quite clearly only interested in young, cheap free agents.

We don't have Earl Thomas behind him.

Don't care either way, but we do need to fill a hole. Rather have Sherman than either Mo or Carr, for sure, especially if we want to win right now.

Blimey! Whoda thought Sherman was like Einstein?
I will give him the benefit of the doubt on your depiction of "intelligent." (He claimed to have graduated a Compton high school with a 4.2 GPA).o_O Or could it be he has life smarts? ...No, he acts like a buffoon in life ...

"Well-educated"???

What is it about an athlete's college studies (and an undergraduate degree) in "communications" that makes him well educated? Last I heard they teach athletes in "communications" the diff between newspapers and TV/radio, matey.

I would give up a #1 for Sherman in a heartbeat but it's going to take more than a #1 to get him.

He is worth #28 and a 4th next year. I would do it in a heartbeat.

He needs a change of scenery and we need leadership and playmakers in our secondary.

We signed Deion and there is no way Sherman is as arrogant or pompous as he was lol
