Why would you give late round picks that are still hanging around Fs? Isn't that what you hope happens when you take those guys.

Seems like a stupid article which from what I gather is par for the course with this guy.

227. Mike Mickens - F. Defensive back was placed on practice squad but eventually cut.

Whitt really does his best to make the draft seem as bad as possible on the picks who were injured or didn't make the team.

Mickens is a good example. He was never cut by Dallas, but taken off the practice squad by Tampa Bay.

He was then cut by the Bucs and eventually ended up in Cincinnati.

The Cowboys didn't make any effort to re-sign him after Tampa cut him, but there's no indication Dallas ever planned to cut him.

This is a pretty piss poor effort even for Whitt. The guys that were healthy all year mostly made pretty good contributions. So yeah tell me why I shouldn't trust Jerry - is it his fault guys get injured?

Actually he doesn't say he is if you read it closely. He said Dallas finds UDFAs easier than they do blue chips.

I can see why the guy gave Fs to injured players... Jerry and this organization has a history of drafting IR bait and lead the league in drafted players on IR the past 10 or 12 yrs!

When your 1st selection in the draft is a 3rd rd pick it is hard to get an A for the draft.

Some of the picks due to injury were not able to play so I give them an imcomplete grade at this stage and the ones who did a play like Phillips,Butler and Buehler did a decent job and were able to contribute.

As for trusting Jerry well I trust he will listen to the scouts and coaches who will be in the draft war room with him to make soild selections.
