I believe Escobar is a free agent. Regardless Rico has to earn his spot. Witten and Swaim should have their spots locked up...we seem to draft a tight end every season and I don't think this season is the exemption. I'm figuring he will compete against a rookie for a spot and if they're both good, we will keep 4.

The Cowboys will know what they have by the end of '17 preseason. If we have something on our hands--a real player--he'll be on the roster.

Sheer size and strength and overall athleticism doesn't necessarily translate. But after 18 months of development they'll know.

We could have something special...maybe.

He said he's gonna be working with Jordan Reed's coach this offseason. That's fantastic. Kid sounds very intelligent and about it.

I saw some speculation but nothing definitive.

James Hanna is a solid blocker but brings next to nothing as a receiver. He's too one dimensional.

I hope he recovers from whatever it is, but I like Geoff Swaim better as the second TE.
