What WR are you taking off the field for the extra TE?

Since Williams tends to fade ever other game he could sit for a few plays.

Yeah, it's to put guys with potential. Gathers will be a free agent by the time he is a legit football player.

More than likely, but that's the sort of people that typically end up on practice squads around the league.

If we keep 4 TEs on active roster, keep Gathers and try and get Traylor on practice squad.
I just dont want a team to get Gathers and us regret it for 10 years.

Yep, I think it's worth keeping him over an extra WR, He could be a great redzone threat, and I'm optimistic that he'll be a TE we don't regret cutting a backup safety for. If Dallas sheds a safety, other teams yawn. If Dallas cuts a RB or TE, then other teams are interested. At least let him stay on the roster until Hanna gets back, then find a creative way to keep him at that point.

When you pluck a player off another teams practice squad, you have to put him on your 53 man roster. For 2 weeks, I think.

Not sure any team would be willing to do that given how raw the guy is.

You have pay them 3 weeks salary, but you don't have to keep them.
