26 would be a good spot for him. Robinson is a do EVERYTHING running back. I'm not big on first round running backs, but he's probably the best offensive player in the draft at any position and we're talking about taking him at 26...yeah I'm on board.

Wow. This is looking like a very weak draft. I am not liking this mock. I would look for Mel to change this 50% after the pro days and combines. I don't like RB in round 1. Give me Darnell Washington UGA's 6'7 270 lb TE or UT's Jalin Hyat at WR.

It's exceedingly clear to me that we need some offensive weapons. I don't particularly like RB in the first, but when it comes to prospects available that late in R1, both him and Gibbs are on my radar as guys we should consider.

I wouldn't be shocked if Robinson runs a 4.6 which is going to hurt him. As with most backs, I have a hard time giving them contracts past 27-28 years old.

This just makes sense, right? Team owner Jerry Jones loves star running backs, going back to his days of drafting Emmitt Smith in Round 1 in 1990, and he repeatedly has said Ezekiel Elliott is the Cowboys' most important player. Well, Elliott could be a salary-cap casualty this offseason, and Tony Pollard -- who made the Pro Bowl this season -- broke his left leg in the divisional round and is a free agent. Could Jones and the Cowboys start over and take Robinson, the best back in this class, here? Robinson also is a great pass-catcher, so he's more than just a between-the-tackles runner. He could also take some of the pressure off quarterback Dak Prescott.

I thought hard about defensive tackle with this pick, with Bryan Bresee (Clemson) and Mazi Smith (Michigan) as two possibilities. Dallas struggled at times stopping the run.

27. Buffalo Bills - Derick Hall DE/OLB Auburn

I would even like for the Cowboys to select the 2 players (Hall/Kincade) after Robinson on this mock.

I'll be livid if we pick a RB with a 1st round pick.
That writing has been on the wall since they didn’t get one in the mid rounds last year.

Jerry is getting a local guy, guaranteed jersey seller and he can reform his triplets, which we all know is what wins in the NFL.

No one else is dumb enough to draft a RB in the first in a deep RB draft, so he will fall to 26, while he was probably ranked ehh…7th to 10th on their board, which Jerry will be happy to prove to world. Constant embarrassment.

Who should the Cowboys get because I don't totally disagree with you.
I couldn't care less about college football, and my apathy has gotten high enough to not pay much attention to draft prospects so I can't tell you any names, but it would be stupid to get a RB with the 1st round.

But what about the amount of jerseys it will sell? That's priority one.

But in all honesty, it wouldn't be a bad pick. U let Pollard walk and cut Zeke and get a rb on the cheap that's better than both of them.

Kiper's opinions mean doggy doo doo.
He gets paid by agents to promote and push their clients higher into the draft. So in all reality what has Mel ever said to be the Drafts Nostradamus....
