How many surgeries has he had since he's been in the league? Feel bad for the guy, an absolute monster when healthy.

That just makes what Tony Gonzales and Jason Witten do so much more amazing. Those guys have consistently produced and missed very little time in their respective careers. A lot of it is good fortune. You can't predict when a significant injury will occur. Still they have been very reliable.

I have seen a few posts on this board about why Witten won't be a 1st ballot HoFer. One reason that came up as to why is that by the time he is eligible he won't be ranked that high in receptions or yards for a tight end because of some younger guys passing him. Well, Gronk is one of those younger, very productive guys. Great player, but I am beginning to wonder if he ends up having a not so long of a career.
