I don't care where Rob Ryan is or what he's doing. I'm just glad he's not in Dallas anymore.

We're in a much better place overall as a team, and I think Rod is a better fit than Rob on a team that's coached by Garrett.

Rod's a better DC anyway.

While i dont think he is all that as a DC, the year he got fired...he was the scapegoat that saved JG job.

He was fired because he ran a system that was complicated and dependent on experienced players knowing responsibilities in an era where we were increasingly pulling players off the streets and playing them. This is what we said at the time, and it's consistent with what we did to replace him.

Jason never needed a scapegoat because his bosses have always been happy with him. It's some fans who were not happy with Jason, and so they needed to invent the scapegoat angle to reconcile how they felt with what they did not know.

If you read PFT, they made it seem like Ryan was going to be fired once the season ended.

Tells you how credible PFT really is.

I'm not a believer in the term "elite", but it's worth considering just how much in the downside he is.

He probably has enough to finish out the remaining two years left on his contract. Or maybe at least one more season. They would take a $14 million dead money hit if they cut him this year. That gets cut in half in 2016. It isn't as if the Saints have a viable replacement for him, so I doubt he is leaving anytime soon.

He'll be on the market for more than 5 minutes if he does get canned ;)

He still had 5k yds and 33 TD's. They aren't going to replace his production anytime soon. Its too hard to find a QB like him. It could set them back to where they once we're. They should ride out whatever window he has left.

His stats while down for him were still good, but near the end of games his decision making was pretty head scratching and he is no spring chicken. Another year like that and hard to imagine him or SP are still there.
