Robert Griffin III

Which is actually why after the emergence of RG3 as a great passer and decision maker with the ball downfield pundits have actually begun to compare him to Steve Young.

These pundits are behind. Griffin showed signs of being a good passer and decision maker as a freshman. He set the freshman record for consecutive passes without an interception. He also has gotten better each year, so it isn't too much of a surprise that he has continued to improve this season.

Sadly he still plays for Baylor.

Kansas freakin State...

That is all.....
Kansas State is 4-0, can't take that away from them, Baylor perhaps should've won but they didn't and thus they fell from 15 to 25 instead of entering top 10.

hes not as good as Troy Smith at least he won the Hiesman

LOL.

Troy Smith couldn't see Robert Griffin with a telescope.

just stating fact there Aibach

Plus his INT was right to the guy

could not have thrown a prettier INT

Griffen has yet to play great teams. is schedule gets stronger soon, lets see how he plays vs these better teams. Griffen plays alot like Vince Young did. In a spread offense, throws deep balls to open WRs, hardly ever making great tight passes in a tight window.
He has ever really made audibles and read the defense, all these things you have to be able to do in the pros.

Now, don't get me wrong here, it's not like he can't do these things, I just haven't seen him do it on a regular basis. With time to learn and develop he might be able to do all these things. What I have read about the guy, he is a smart person, works hard, and wants to keep getting better, which is something Vince Young didn't have.

My verdict on Griffen is still out, I'm going to wait until the end of the season to release my final verdict. I like him, I like watching him play, he is a fun play to watch, but not 100% sold on him.

If Garrett and the coaching staff and the scouts really like him and think he can develop into a starting QB in a few years, then right now its fine by me with a pick in the 2nd.

He had 5 TDs. So they lost 36-35 to KState. They are friggin Baylor. BAYLOR! I'm not sure that Tom Brady with Micheal Vicks legs makes up for the fact that again they are Baylor. Without RGIII they would be lucky to win a couple of games this year.

Great points. Absolutely right about the spread offense. He actually reminds me more of a taller Colt McCoy than Vince Young.

The spread offense means nothing. Look at Sam Bradford or Ben Roethlisberger. Drew Brees. Colt McCoy also didn't throw receivers to a spot on a regular basis like Griffin does.

Griffin actually makes reads and throws to a spot as opposed to throwing to the man. That's NFL style throwing.

LoL, they'd be like 0-5 without Griffin.

Not quite my friend, their offense overall is stellar, their center and one of their wideouts projected first round pick grades, as well as a obtaining a transfer tight end from Stanford's full stable.

It is their defense that is mediocre, they are built very similar to a Mike Leach Texas Tech team, high power offense that is near impossible to stop but a defense that bends so much it forces shoot outs.

They'll hang around the top 25 much of the year and probably finish in it too, if not for the defensive collapse last Saturday they might've even scratched into the top ten.

Give Kansas State credit, they are 4-0.

That'd be an impressive feat considering they've only played 3 and a half games as game three was called with 6 minutes left in the third quarter by lightening with the score 48-0.
