so now have no backup QB and no backup RB with an aging QB with serious health concerns and a aging RB who has trouble staying healthy too.

Actually DMC has had 2 years of being healthy now.
Other than the minor hamstring issues in TC last year. He has had two 16 games healthy seasons.

It would be.

Do you actually want to pay more money than you refused to pay Lamar Miller and have to use the #4 overall pick on top of it? That's moronic.

not really , with our OL Elliot would have more impact than any other player we could pick in the draft. that is worth a # 4.
Then in 2nd round get henry too if he is there.

Then run 2 RB formations and see if anyone can stop our run game.
Passing out of it would also give tony 2 RB to pick up any blitzers, and he could also dump off to either one.

No, id like to trade back with San Fran gain a second or third round pick and get Elliott for 14 million over 5 years with a 5th year option. Which is how it would play out if we traded with San Fran

That may be overkill

not really, it offers more protection for tony, and would be exciting to see henry and elliot in same backfield.
I doubt JG would be innovative enough to do it, he prefers 2 TE formations, and we all have seen how well that works.

I was under the impression free agency was about filling holes, not creating more.... sheesh

Turbin was a JAG.... still some decent options out there to fill the #2 spot.

Yes, really.

If Dallas wanted to pay that much for a running back, they could have gotten an NFL-proven one, and for less money. And now people are advocating not only paying more for a player unproven at the NFL level, but giving up the #4 overall pick and an opportunity at a franchise quarterback to do it?

Asinine.

Sure, and the trade and getting the player you want would assuredly work out because...Cowboys?
