Amazing article...

IRVING — Roger Staubach will watch Sunday afternoon’s game with family and friends from his suite at AT&T Stadium.

Shortly after 3:25, when Tony Romo takes the field with the Cowboys’ offense, the Dallas icon will slip to third among quarterback starts in the franchise’s rich history.

"I’ve always been amazed at how people don’t appreciate what kind of talent he is. I think they’re starting to, for some reason.”
:hammer:

I know Roger has said before Romo was under appreciated. I still believe he won't get the credit he is due until he wins a super bowl.

Mr. Staubach, Tony Romo is not a franchise quarterback. I know. His critics said so. They are as qualified or more qualified than you in making that assessment. Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to ask a bucket of rocks the same critics to give their opinion of Travis Frederick.

It's the media, once they've decided they're going to paint you with a certain brush you're stuck with it and some fans just buy into it. The only way to fix it is to win big and the GM hasn't helped until now,,, hopefully Romo gets the championship he deserves.

Predictably, Sports Nation ran with this story and pitted Max Kellerman and Marcellus Wiley and of course their roles are Max is the Giants guy and Marcellus defends Tony while the "Nation" voted 71-29 Tony is not a winner.

The real entertainment came however when Plaxico made a guest appearance and said Tony is a winner because he married his smokin' hot wife - but he's not a franchise quarterback. It was a laugh a minute and completely captured the essence of ESPN in a five minute segment.

I'm embarrassed I watched it and even more so that I shared it. Sorry.

It's gotta be embarrassing for Romo haters when legends and ex-QBs voice their unequivocal support and belief in Romo as a QB, right?

Staubach, Aikman, Favre, Warner, Jimmy, Parcells, Dilfer...

But all is not lost for the haters. Here's the list of outstanding football minds who think Romo sucks: McNabb.

Coincidentally, that list is the exact same as the "mouth-breathers who didn't know NFL games could end in a tie while they were playing and now think Romo sucks" list.

Dont be embarrassed Dandy. Sharing the stupidity of others who say utterly ridiculous things about the Cowboys is always welcome IMO. Its reality. And we can take great pleasure in laughing at idiots.

As Roger points out it is a team who wins, he had great players around him as did Troy. Neither man was going to win alone you need top players stepping up to win always has been that way and always will be that way in the ultimate team sport
